Re-Imagining Online Business: The key to an engaging content strategy in 2024 (make it easy)
What stops the scroll in 2024? And how do we actually make our lives easier when it comes to our business and marketing when the landscape keeps shifting, our brains are literally being changed by smartphones, the internet, and social media, and attention and engagement are at an all-time low? As two business consultants and coaches obsessed with content marketing, we are in regular inquiry and real-life client study about how to reach people when, in general, the people we’re trying to reach are overstimulated and overwhelmed by the amount of content they could be consuming at this point in the human existence. If we’re all on our devices filtering out what we want to read and doing it at lightning speed, how do we actually land with our audience? Hint: there’s value in making it easy. Topics discussed in episode 2: Creating an engaging content strategy with scroll stopping content that actually orients to the current digital moment Making less work for our audience, our clients, and ourselves—rather than making more, how can we make it easier The new online era in which graphics don’t need to be fancy. and short, concise, and minimal “wins” The value of sharing your voices more than your aesthetic Developing a strategy that is human-centered rather than internet-centered Creators mentioned: Raudhah Rahman @raudhah.rahman (https://www.instagram.com/raudhah.rahman/) and Casey Tanner @queersextherapy (https://www.instagram.com/queersextherapy/) Episode Transcript (https://www.reimaginingonlinebusiness.com/s/Re-Imagining-Transcript-Ep-2.pdf) Learn more about Re-Imagining Online Business and Summer Biz Camp (https://www.reimaginingonlinebusiness.com/) Join us in Fruition Growth Network Website (http://www.joinfruition.com) Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/joinfruition)

Mindful self compassion for entrepreneurs w/ Kristen Genzano
Running a business often reveals things to us that we didn't even know about ourselves. We are forced to look at our patterns and growth edges, what is holding us back from our goals, and who we are as a leader. In this tension, it is critical that we are able to get curious about how we can move forward differently and not fall back into old habits. This is where mindful self compassion comes in. In this episode, Kristen Genzano (she/her), shares the pillars of mindful self compassion and how we can use it as a tool for both growth and greater ease. Q+A: should I hire a contractor or employee?
Growing your business will almost definitely require you to grow your team. Many online business owners default to hiring multiple independent contractors in specialized roles to meet their needs, but that's not always the best choice. There are important differences between independent contractors and employees that you should be aware of before growing your team. In this episode founder of Hire Breakthrough, (http://hirebreakthrough.com) Kimone Napier (she/her), joins the show to answer our questions about how to decide who to hire and how to find the right person for the job. The state of online business in 2023
A couple of weeks ago I put up an instagram post (https://www.instagram.com/p/CyUYAdrPN62/?img_index=1)about the reality that many established online business owners are currently experiencing some of the most challenging months of their career right now, at the end of 2023. I got a significant response to this post, so we are here to have an expanded conversation on the topic. And my hope is that you walk away from this with a a fresh perspective on how to approach problem solving in your business, and the understanding that this is actually a ripe opportunity for growth that, if approached creatively, could set us up for success in this changing landscape. In this episode we talk about: 4:00 : What I am observing as a business coach with an established network of online business owners, and the current struggles faced by online business owners in 2023. 7:33 : Why I think it’s happening and how I’m personally choosing to respond 25:47 : Some of the discourse that has become commonplace in the business development world that is not helpful for this moment 39:00 What to focus on in Q4 of 2023 to successfully take advantage of this current growth opportunity Links mentioned in this episode: Being Boss Episode 357: THE END OF THE GOLDEN AGE OF ONLINE BUSINESS WITH ERICA COURDAE & TASHA L. Easier, more impactful content marketing w/ Tristan Katz
You've probably heard about repurposing content as a strategy to make your marketing more effective (in fact, we talked about it with Angie Jordan in this episode) (http://www.joinfruition.com/podcast/podcastqanda). But if you've tried repurposing content yourself, maybe you're wondering: How do I choose which content to repurpose? Why is repurposing my content not moving the needle? Is my content really going to be impactful for my audience if I'm just repeating myself? How do I repurpose content without it getting boring for my audience? In today's episode, we are joined by Tristan Katz (they/he) (https://www.katz-creative.com). Tristan is an educator, consultant, facilitator, and writer who works at the intersection of marketing, equity, and inclusion as well as creating inclusive, equitable, and safer spaces for trans people. In this episode, Tristan shares how they have leveraged content repurposing to create a meaningful contribution to their field, have an impact, and effectively market their work without constantly being on the content creation hamster wheel. Here is a look at what you will hear in this episode: 05:52 - How to grow your business by shifting focus away from other people's ideas and toward your own 08:20 - Tristan Katz's solution for sustainable social media marketing 10:02 - Why simply repurposing content isn't enough + how to be create a strategic content repurposing strategy 14:05 - Determining what content "works" for you and your audience when deciding what to repurpose and how 25:02 - Rethinking content pillars through an impact lens 30:05 - How to make social media marketing easier by focusing on impact and authenticity 46:20 - Why you should not making buying or strategy decisions based on your perception of what works for others 50:05 - How to create an offer suite that makes your work more accessible to your audience Links to resources we reference in this episode Podcast episode: How to ditch traditional marketing in favor of relationship building (https://www.brooke-monaghan.com/podcast/how-to-ditch-traditional-marketing-in-favor-of-relationship-building-w/-tristan-katz) Connect with Tristan Website (http://www.katz-creative.com) Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/tristankatzcreative/) Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/tristankatz) Join us in Fruition Growth Network Website (http://www.joinfruition.com) Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/joinfruition)

Understanding client ghosting w/ Katherine Sleadd
Katherine Sleadd (she/her) is a trauma informed coach and the author of the book How to Be a Bad Friend (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C1J9F5PQ?tag=namespacebran320-20&asc_campaign=a413317e510050dd8d584c68717fc653&asc_source=01GRXJEDJ827CJHX3R3R7DB4DN&linkCode=ogi). She has developed a deep body of work around friendship breakups, community loss, and family of origin. In this episode, I asked Kat to join me in a conversation about: Why clients, or potential clients, may ghost. Especially when it seems like things are going so well. Why being in the field of offering change or transformation requires us to deal with the 'push and pull' of deeply desiring change while also craving familiarity Why we resort to putting people in categories (good/bad, right/wrong, toxic, etc) as a way to protect ourselves The importance of conflict in developing our sense of self, and the ways we have been actively conditioned to not engage in it This episode is for business owners who offer transformation, who have wondered why seemingly perfect fit clients have suddenly dropped off, and who have struggled to make their needs known or fear being "difficult". What you need to know about imposter complex w/ Tanya Geisler
When you find yourself thinking that everyone has it figured out except for you, that people are going to find out that you are not qualified, or that you are incapable of repeating results, there are a few things we can glean from this information - and it is not that you are unqualified. This is the voice of the imposter complex (commonly referred to as imposter syndrome), and in this episode, Tanya Geisler fills us in on: Why these beliefs may actually be an indicator that you have strong values of integrity and excellence How the imposter complex functions as a mechanism to keep you out of action, doubting your capacity, and alone and isolated Why you should not aim to eliminate the imposter complex, but should instead aim to work with it How to reframe your understanding of the imposter complex as an indicator of important values rather than a failure on your part The difference between imposter complex and psychological harm caused by systemic bias and oppression Resources from this episode Connect with Tanya Geisler: www.tanyageisler.com (http://www.tanyageisler.com) Stop Telling Women They Have Imposter Syndrome (https://hbr.org/2021/02/stop-telling-women-they-have-imposter-syndrome) Join us in Fruition Growth Network Website (http://www.joinfruition.com) Instagram (http://www.instagram.com/joinfruition)
