The new series, Making An Impression: The Sketches, features the cream of British, Irish and US impressionists performing brand new sketches and chatting about the art and craft of impressions. Anecdotes, new voices, some silliness and lots of laughs.
Presented by ex-Dead Ringers regular Simon Lipson, the series' guests include Rory Bremner, Alistair McGowan, Jessica Martin, Christina Bianco, Al Foran, Lewis MacLeod, Jon Culshaw, Josh Robert Thompson, Scheiffer Bates, Ronni Ancona and so many more.
In 'You're Popping' Simon meets some of the very finest vocal artists on the planet to chat about the arcane and often hilarious world of voiceovers. Guests to include Darren Altman, Alex Lowe, Kate O'Sullivan, Jim Meskimen, Melissa Sinden, Laura Shavin and Tanya Rich.

Making An Impression: The Sketches - Foran & Harbour 2
Part 2 of my recording with the amazing Irish impressionist Al Foran and voice acting superstar Kate Harbour. We discuss bad Irish accents and dare Kate to try hers out on Al, we delve into the contained fury of Roy Keane, investigate the wrong voice in the wrong place technique and decide it’s high time there was a dedicated show starring all impressionists on TV. Three great sketches with voices that include Roy Keane, of course, Denzel Washington, Al Pacino, a range of young and old ladies and many more. Plus some nice little cock-ups. Enjoy.

Making An Impression: The Sketches - McGowan & Berry Part 2
This is part 2 of my recording with the fabulous Josh Berry and legendary Alistair McGowan. We discuss the risks involved in doing impressions of the actual people when they’re in the same room, the difference between impressions and impersonations, why some voices just appear while others take years to learn, and doing impressions just for our own amusement. Three great sketches with voices that include the Repair Shop crew, Jimmy Carr, Daniel Radcliffe, Jose Mourinho, David Mitchell plus many more – like Prince Harry, Gary Barlow and Hugh Grant – thrown in. Enjoy.

Making An Impression: The Sketches - Bremner & O'Sullivan 2
This is part 2 of the show I recorded with the insanely brilliant Rory Bremner and Kate O’Sullivan. We discuss how musicality is so often part of the impressionist’s armoury, I talk about doing Billy Connolly in a toilet - as it were - we contrast acting with doing impressions and we cover the importance of rhythm when reproducing a voice. We’ve got, amongst other impressions, John McDonnell, Trump, Nigella and Sharon Osborne, and Rory and I offer a world first as we share Ozzy in the final sketch. It’s very funny. Honestly.
