We believe that the process of Truth and Reconciliation requires direct regular contact between the peoples who truly own Canada - our indigenous brothers and sisters - and the rest of us guests in this country. Making Connections reflects on the impact of our youth programs in remote indigenous communities and how we can build on these interactions by our younger generation in order to build a more equitable future for all Canadians. It is mostly a non-indigenous perspective as we look to involve indigenous youth, adults, and elders to help us continue to understand how we can all reach that ultimate goal to real Truth and Reconciliation.
In this episode, we continue our conversation with Andrew Koostachin, Member of Council and Recreational Director in Attawapiskat First Nation. He recounts the story of his late mother who was a residential school survivor.

Reflections
In this inaugural episode, we reflect on your experience in Attawapiskat and the experiences of a few guests who welcomed us into the community. Our guests include Father Arinze, former pastor at Francis Xavier Parish in Attawapiskat, and Mila Morris who was the Principal at Kattawapiskak Elementary School in Attawapiskat when we implemented our first dance program there. We also have Anthony Macedo, a student who was part of our first trip in 2016, and Sean McClare who has been the media person for all of our visits to Attawapiskat.
