Sitting down to reflect on how far we've come is equally as important as sitting down and getting the work done to actually grow. This week we talk about personal growth: how it unlocks our full potential, the importance of putting ourselves out of our own comfort zones (knowingly or unknowingly), how we can feel that moment of growth, and how everything happens for a reason.

Episode 5 - Female Founding & our journey in it
An honest recap of our founding experience so far: the ups and the downs, the ugly truths and our very own - to borrow Michelle Obama's words - "Becoming" moments. Becoming ready to take on new challenges, trusting the process and enjoying the ride. About the things we wish we knew before, and the things we're glad we didn't.

Episode 4 - 'In The Making': Building a sustainable brand (and what that means)
We are not just building another fashion brand, we are a female empowerment company disguised as a fashion brand with the aim to set new standards for sustainability. You can tell our passion really comes through (there is a reason why it's our longest episode to date) talking about starting a business with sustainability at its core, the vision behind it and the challenges that come along with it; why sustainability in fashion is more than just talking about raw materials and what our plans for the future are. This is how we are 'making it'.

Episode 3 - Why confidence, why saenguin - why we do what we do
We are quite literally in the process of 'making it' with our own company (hence the title of the Podcast if you were wondering). How did we get there, why confidence is such an integral part to it all, what confidence is to us and why we call it saenguin - all this (and how it is actually pronounced) in our latest episode of 'making it'.

Episode 1 - Are Your 20s A Time To Make It Or Break It?
As Millennials and Gen-Zers we are young and optimistic and of course we all want to see ourselves reaching our career climax in our 20s, but is it realistic and should graduates really be expecting meteoritic success at such a young age? The internet and magazines are filled with articles about ‘essential career moves’ and showing off young individuals who are ‘ones to watch’ (https://saenguin.com/2021/03/09/the-new-face-of-vogue-china-with-margaret-zhang/) and that’s great, we all want to see young people succeeding! But have we only 'made it' if we see our faces in those pages? It's most definitely not the norm, and we should not feel like it is. If you're an avid reader of articles about 'essential career moves' and/or admirably glance at the 'ones to watch under 30' pages, secretly wishing that one day you'll find your name in one of those lists - this one's for you.

Episode 0 - An intro into 'Making It'
We are Marita & Svenja, two co-founders in our mid-20s who decided to leave our management consulting jobs to pursue our vision for a female-empowerment-fashion-tech start-up. Throughout our journey we've had numerous conversations both amongst ourselves and with people that we find inspiring, often ending up questioning: what does 'making it' even mean. This episode is an intro into the why and how we are going to go about our new journey as Podcasters - happy to have you join us!
