EPISODE 4: Women On Lead
Climate change is a global challenge that burdens all of humanity, but not equally. The world’s poor, the majority of whom are women, are encumbered disproportionately. The distinct impacts of climate change on men and women are exacerbated in settings that are also affected by violent conflict, political instability, and economic strife.
In our fourth episode, we bring you Women On Lead where we want to tell the significance and important role of the women's sector in the fight against climate crisis, violence, and inequalities.

EPISODE 3: Pagsulong - Climate Action in 2021
It is already March and many of us might have given up on our New Year's resolutions. However, unlike our yearly New Year's resolution, we cannot simply give up and postpone our climate action. We need to be consistent in our actions to achieve our global climate goals. One of our climate goals is pursuing efforts to limit the increase of the global average temperature to 1.5 degrees Celsius. This is found in the Paris Agreement which President Rodrigo Duterte recently ratified. To show our commitment to the Paris Agreement, we are bound to submit the Philippines' Nationally Determined Contribution that will outline our course of action to the goal of the Paris Agreement.
In this episode, we are joined by our mentor and Convenor of Aksyon Klima, Mr. Rodne Galicha, to talk about the developments on our Nationally Determined Contribution and how the youth can contribute to its process and implementation.
PS. This podcast episode was recorded on February 25, 2021. By then, the Philippines’ NDC was already submitted to the President for signing.

EPISODE 2: Balik Tanaw - Wrapping up the Super Year for Nature
The COVID-19 pandemic has slowed the pace of life. But it did not slow the climate breakdown.
The world leaders and climate activists declared 2020 the “Super Year for Nature", with several global climate conferences set to chart a course for slowing climate breakdown and protecting biodiversity over the next decade. But most of these conferences have been pushed to 2021, leaving observers wondering: What does a #SuperYearForNature (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/superyearfornature?__eep__=6&__cft__[0]=AZUbZk_t9enks5aC1xVzo0qBmFyZrsMLs7n1wOCQW6koD5PKJYNpaWqPJ_5Y7tvKuUn1F3CUVfMaIYwopGOfXsPeoDSusuJpAoFw-RRsjXkrl1i7wLPH84McWpg2CbAX4CToO-G0-fmXb2lxVF2m_ATMBiTrCb8hp37wrcyF87AG7CvFivnx-PnMdLibJsP8_bY&__tn__=*NK-R) look like during a pandemic?
In our second episode, we will get to know more about this year’s key climate and environmental events! Meet our special guests in our second episode, our lovely Luntitas from Parabukas, Atty. Aya de Leon and Atty. Niner Guiao.

EPISODE 1: Alpas - Youth, Eco-Anxiety and Mental Health: Converting into Climate Action
For people who work and advocate for the environment and climate, one of the important things we need to take care of is our mental health. We recognize the important role of self-care and turn the grief and anxiety into actions in battling anger, helplessness, and frustration in the face of the climate crisis.
Psychologists warn that the impact can be debilitating for the growing number of people overwhelmed by the scientific reality of ecological breakdown and for those who have lived through traumatic climate events, often on the climate frontline in the Global South. (The Guardian)
We bring you "Episode 1 Alpas: Youth, Eco-Anxiety and Mental Health: Converting into Climate Action. Alpas is a Tagalog word to break free: an important word to free us from anxiety that disables us to fight against the increasing effects of climate change.
We can’t let climate anxiety stop us from responding to climate change, because now, more than ever, we need action.
