<p>Waarom begrijp ik als Nederlandse docent zo goed wat jij als international voelt?</p><p>Die vraag kreeg ik de afgelopen week meerdere keren (multiple times).</p><p>Ik ben nooit écht geëmigreerd. Ik ben in Nederland geboren en opgegroeid. Dus hoe kan het dat ik begrijp waarom jij bevriest (freeze) als iemand ineens Nederlands tegen je praat?</p><p>Ik werk al sinds 2013 met internationals die Nederlands leren. In al die jaren zag ik steeds hetzelfde gebeuren:</p><p>In de les gaat het goed. Maar zodra er een gesprek begint met de buurvrouw, de bakker of een collega... komt de freeze.</p><p>Waarom gebeurt dat?</p><p>In deze aflevering vertel ik mijn eigen verhaal. Over hoe mijn reizen en mijn studie mijn blik (my view) hebben veranderd. Waarom ik toch een expat ben, van binnen (on the inside). En waarom ik uiteindelijk veel meer geïnteresseerd raakte in mensen dan in grammatica.</p><p>Want hoe langer ik lesgaf, hoe duidelijker (clear) het werd: Nederlands leren gaat niet alleen over woorden en regels.</p><p>Het gaat over zelfvertrouwen (confidence) en over begrijpen waarom je bevriest.</p><p>En over leren hoe je tóch dat gesprek aangaat.</p><p>Ik ben benieuwd naar jouw verhaal 💛.</p><p>x Mariska</p><p>PS. Of Spaans tijdens een reis. Of Japans, Italiaans of Mandarijn.</p><p>Waarom voelt Nederlands zo veel moeilijker? </p><p>In deze aflevering leg ik uit waarom dat normaal is. En nee, het is niet omdat Nederlands een moeilijke taal is. </p><p><strong>Je bent niet meer dezelfde persoon als 20 jaar geleden (ago). </strong></p><p>Je hebt meer verantwoordelijkheden (responsibilities), misschien kinderen, een carrière en een zenuwstelsel (nervous system) dat de hele dag stress voelt bij het Nederlands.
