Women in Leadership: Career Transitions, God's Timing, and Purpose

Doris had the job everyone dreams of: 25 years in, great pay, flexible hours, work she genuinely loved, and she still felt God asking her to walk away from it. We talk about how she actually knew it was time, not just a feeling but a two-year process of praying, waiting, and building a plan so she could leave without burning it all down. She also breaks down what "leadership is service" looks like day-to-day, and why so many leaders get promoted into roles they're not actually equipped to handle. If you've been sitting with a decision and can't tell if it's fear or if it's God, this conversation might be exactly what you need to hear. Doris Savron is the founder of Authentic Leadership Institute and spent over 30 years leading teams across higher education, healthcare, and tech before going out on her own. These days she coaches women in leadership who are second-guessing themselves, helping them stop shrinking and start leading like they mean it. We also get into what it looks like to give back once life opens up a little, from global missions trips to just showing up for your local church. Doris shares how she brings her family into her giving, and how she's teaching the next generation to think past their own backyard. This episode is full of wisdom for anyone leading a team, considering a career pivot, or wanting to build a life around generosity and purpose. Hit play and take notes, because Doris covers a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Investing Without Fear: How We Make Decisions When the Market Gets Shaky

The loudest voices during uncertain times are often the ones creating the most fear. While many investors react to headlines, market swings, and speculation, the people who build lasting wealth tend to think differently. Today, we're sharing one of our monthly investor calls because we wanted more people to have access to these conversations around investing, economics, and stewardship from a Kingdom perspective. We talk about what's happening in the crypto market, why volatility doesn't automatically mean something is broken, and how we evaluate opportunities when others are rushing for the exit. You'll hear our thoughts on Bitcoin, market cycles, emotional investing, and why conviction matters when you're building for the long term. We also share updates on the fund and discuss some of the economic and political factors we're watching closely right now. If you've ever found yourself asking, "What's my account doing?" or wondering how to navigate uncertain markets with wisdom and confidence, this conversation is for you. Our goal isn't just to talk about investing, but to help you develop a longer-term mindset that can impact every area of life. Because multiplication often happens when we're willing to stay focused on the bigger picture instead of reacting to the moment. The people that make millions and even billions of dollars are not listening to the same thing most people are listening to" [00:16:14] – Melissa Edmiston "If I had to start all over and had to pick a place to put money, it would still be in crypto and in Bitcoin and some of these big cap coins." Healing Your Hormones God's Way: What Every Woman in Perimenopause Needs to Hear

I turned 40 and genuinely did not recognize the woman staring back at me in the mirror. I knew something was wrong, but I had no idea what it was. I was on a mission to get to the root cause of my symptoms. So, when I finally got to sit down with Dr. Tabatha Barber, a triple board-certified physician in OB/GYN, menopause, and functional medicine, and founder of Fast to Faith®, I had a lot of questions, and she had answers that I believe every woman needs to hear. The kind that makes you realize how much the conventional medical system has been leaving women completely in the dark. Dr. Tabatha's own story is one of those that honestly stops you in your tracks. She was an OB/GYN prescribing the same Band-Aid solutions she was trained to give, all while her own body was quietly falling apart until a failed back surgery put her flat on her back for seven days, and God used that moment to change everything. We get into the gut-hormone connection, why women are hitting perimenopause a full decade earlier than our mothers did, what functional medicine testing actually looks like versus what your regular doctor runs, and why fasting works differently once your hormones start to shift. But one of my favorite parts of this conversation was when we went deeper than just the physical stuff and into the beliefs we picked up before age seven that are still quietly running our stress levels, our health decisions, and our sense of worth today. If you've ever found yourself asking God, "Why is this happening to me?" while also pushing through exhaustion on fumes, this episode is going to hit close to home. We're also teasing Part 2 on neuroscience and faith, and trust me, you don't want to miss it. [00:41:06] Jesus, Neuroscience, and Your Mind [00:46:10] Does Fasting Still Work in Perimenopause? [00:55:00] The Hard Truth About Christianity Memorable Quotes: "The truth is, hormones make you who you are. They give you your personality. And when they go away, you don't feel like yourself. You feel like an empty shell. Who am I? Whose body is this?" [00:16:32] – Dr. Tabatha Barber "Let's figure out the principles that God set up and how to use them for the kingdom. How to get closer to Him. How to do His work because He has given us power and authority in this life."
