A show where we choose a moe anime like K-On!, Non Non Biyori or Azumanga Daioh to watch for each episode. Then we decide whether it's good or it sucks, break down openings and endings, and, most importantly, decide who is best girl. The shows we discuss include genres such as slice of life, harem comedies, magical girls, and anything and everything about cute girls doing cute things.

Episode 008: Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta... (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!)
In a unique take on the isekai genre, Otome Game Villainess is about Katarina Claes, a girl who finds herself reincarnated in her favorite visual novel—and she has to rewrite the story if she wants to survive! Join us as we revel in Katarina's dopey yet irrepressible charm, discuss the Dostoyevskian implications of anime villain redemption arcs, and delight in pronouncing the show's ridiculously long title. And in the inferior world of non-moe anime, we discuss: Gunsmith Cats, a girls-with-guns OVA with a lightweight but undeniably entertaining take on American popcorn action flicks, and Hyouka, an imaginatively animated blend of the high school and mystery genres from Kyoani's golden age.

Episode 007: Shinryaku! Ika Musume (Squid Girl)
For centuries, mankind has polluted and destroyed the ocean. In Shinryaku! Ika Musume, one squid girl has had enough, but after her failed one-squid invasion on the surface world, she finds herself working as an indentured servant for a seaside grill. Join us as we revel in some truly awful squid puns, argue the merits of the experimental Chibi Ika scene, and make plans for a very special segment that will end with one of us in anaphylactic shock. And in the inferior world of non-moe anime, we discuss: Asylum Session, a dreary cyberpunk movie that is dragged from mediocre down to terrible by its horrendous 3D animation, and Skull-Faced Bookseller Honda-san, an adaptation of a quirky, autobiographical manga about a bookseller with a skull for a face.

Episode 006: Kiniro Mosaic
The worlds of Japan and England collide in Kiniro Mosaic, a show about two foreign exchange students in Japan and the friends they make along the way. Join us as we discuss the joys of English voice acting in anime, talk about how bitchin' Karen's Union Jack hoodie is, and ponder the eternal question: why, Japanese people? And in the inferior world of non-moe anime, we discuss: Afro Samurai, the blood-soaked, hip-hop infused story of a samurai on a quest to avenge his dead father, and Kakushigoto, a show about a father who will do anything to keep his career as an ecchi manga artist a secret from his beloved daughter.

Episode 005: Yuru CampΔ
On this episode, we watch Yuru CampΔ, the anime about camping that could make even a basement-dwelling recluse yearn for the great outdoors. Join us as we consider our misspent youth in the Boy Scouts, how food in anime always looks so delicious, and whether anime schoolteachers are destined to be loveless alcoholics. And in the inferior world of non-moe anime, we discuss: Slam Dunk, the story of a wayward delinquent youth who joins the basketball team in a questionably effective effort to impress a girl, and Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!, an isekai parody where the comedy comes from all the main characters being terrible people.

Episode 004: Haiyore! Nyaruko-san
On today's episode, we watch Haiyore! Nyaruko-san, the Lovecraftian nightmare of a harem comedy about the chaos that always crawls up to you with a smile. Join us as we consider exactly how much otaku pandering is too much, and the dialectical contradictions of a show about an avatar of Chaos who is also a space cop, and whether Nyaruko-san is a Maiden or, in Truth, a Terrible Frenchman. And in the inferior world of non-moe anime, we discuss: 801 T.T.S. Airbats, an OVA that attempts to recruit the impressionable youth of Japan into the JSDF through anime love triangles, and Mobile Fighter G Gundam, the wacky, campy Gundam show that no one knew they wanted.

Episode 003: New Game!
Making games isn't all fun and games, but it mostly is in New Game!, a slice-of-life comedy about a girl who gets a job at her favorite videogame development studio. Join us as we realize in horror that the Playstation 3 was released fifteen years ago, consider the ethics of looking up the skirts of videogame character models, and die of diabetic shock at the sight of Aoba's adorable, oversized bear-shaped sleeping bag. And in the inferior world of non-moe anime, we discuss: Golden Kamuy, the blood-soaked story of an unkillable veteran of the Russo-Japanese war on a quest to find a hidden treasure and kill as many hideously animated CGI bears as possible; and Dorohedoro, a fantasy post-apocalyptic action comedy horror drama mystery about an amnesiac wizard hunter who also has a lizard head for some reason.

Episode 001: Mitsuboshi Colors
In this inaugural episode of Manly Anime for Manly Men, we watch Mitsuboshi Colors, a show that has intrigued us ever since we saw a clip of the titular trio of little girls trying to murder a policeman with a rocket launcher (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxQ0LoEwQGQ). Join us as we consider magical realism and the imagination of children, the mythical Chu-Chu Cabrilla and its significance, and whether cute anime girls should have the right to bear arms. And in the inferior world of non-moe anime, we discuss: Kaguya-sama: Love is War, the show Death Note would be if it was a romantic comedy; and Twinkle Nora Rock Me!, a 1980s OVA that explores the philosophical question of how few frames of animation you can draw and still technically be considered an animator.
