What's better than watching and laughing at sitcoms? If you said listing and arguing about them, you win! We're here with our top five shows (no, we don't stick to five), as well as some favourite characters, and most memorable scenes and lines. And if you find yourself wondering if B possibly fancies Malcolm Tucker, well, you're not alone.
We're also reminiscing about sitcoms from our childhoods (for every Fawlty Towers there's a Perfect Stranger); asking if a live audience matters; and wondering if, and when, traditional sitcoms started being crap. And for the grand finale - hold on to your earphones (and preferably yank them out) because we're guessing sitcom theme tunes. Which we're humming. With our actual mouths.
Nobody will be laughing THEN...

Wrestle-Mann-ia
Mark loves wrestling. B tolerates it. In this episode we explore this strange phenomenon, and what it's all about - including whether "predetermined" is different from "fake", stereotypes and jingoism, and the time Mark's favourite wrestler let himself be bitten by a snake on TV. Also - was a man with a blond mullet and white leather chaps really ever cool, even in 1992? And... a wrestling plumber?

Travel (Part 2)
We're back, still pining for holidays. This time we talk about some of the best things we've done on our trips - mostly Mark's favourite cathedrals, and B's favourite meals, with a sprinkling of quadbiking in the Sahara. Speaking of food, Italy is tops for pasta, but a close second is... Sheffield? Also, all-inclusive: the debate. And could our relationships with friends and family survive holidaying together?

Travel (Part 1)
Covid pretty much ruined our holiday plans for a couple of years, so we look back on happier times (and dreaming about the future) by talking about travel. Where we've loved, where's still on our bucket lists, finally working out how to do holidays properly in our late 30s, and the big question - how old is too old for a road trip across America?
We couldn't shut up about this, so check out part 2 as well.

Who Do You Think You Are? (Part 2)
Carrying on our conversation in this episode, and bringing a touch of class to the conversation - but which class, exactly? How are we dealing with getting older, and are young people actually any good? Oh, and there's the small matter of politics and religion. No big deal.

Who Do You Think You Are? (Part 1)
No family trees in sight, but we discuss what identity means to us, and how ethnicity and nationality comes into it, and try to figure out: how British are we?

University: Working Hard/Hardly Working
After the palaver of getting to uni (check out the previous episode), Mark is burning through friends, while B learns how to roll a joint and forge official documentation. There may be a degree or two somewhere in the middle of all this too.

The Road to University
University was an important milestone, but first we had to get there - meaning some big choices to make at a young age. Were our parents a help, a hindrance, or even part of the conversation? Why was a high ratio of male to female students so important for B? And should you really choose a university without seeing it first? And then, of course, there's the small matter of grades. Potential drama (not the course) beckons...

Oasis
We wanted to talk tonight - so why not record it and release it all around the world as a podcast? No masterplan here as we just roll with it and discuss a band that Mark loves above all others, and B enjoyed for a couple of years in the 90s until nu-metal came along. Some might say there could be disagreements...

Trailer
Is a two-minute trailer any way to decide if you'll like a podcast? Probably not. But we made one anyway, because we're followers, not leaders. (Also, you probably WILL like our podcast.)
