Mario Zarate, professionally known as Mario Z, is a seasoned music producer, DJ, and sonic architect with over 26 years shaping the sound of Costa del Sol and a global legacy spanning five decades. Renowned for crafting bespoke soundscapes for prestigious venues, Mario has played residencies and curated music in some of the world’s most exclusive hotels, beach resorts, and private events. His work goes beyond the DJ booth—every track and mix is designed to enhance the atmosphere, elevate the guest experience, and embody the identity of each space. In 2010, Mario Z was nominated by DEEJAY MAG SPAIN for DJ of the Year and Best Resident DJ for his tenure at Nikki Beach Marbella, cementing his reputation as a distinguished presence in the international electronic music scene. His productions and performances have reached a global audience, with releases on renowned labels including CrossWorld Records, CrossTech Records, and CrossWorld Vintage, as well as performances across Europe, Dubai, and beyond. He has shared stages and opened for some of the world’s most influential artists, including David Guetta, Bob Sinclar, Mark Knight, Axwell, Avicii, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, and Todd Terry.
