A limited podcast series on the different major "entertainment cities."
Conversations about place in relation to the industry.
How is each market unique?
How does place shape career?
What kinds of people thrive in this environment and how does it affect the art that they produce?
Another episode recorded pre-pandemic. We talk with DCB about the Shakespeare scene in Chicago, what commercial auditions are really like, and how a city can inspire self discovery. Daniel is an actor, intimacy designer, and poet/rapper. He has performed at Chicago Shakes and recently landed a major cereal brand commercial. While this episode does get a little buck, it stays pretty grounded as DCB shares his invaluable insight and experiences.

Chicago | Jo Hoch | 005
We are back! This episode was recorded almost exactly a year ago and feels like it came from another universe. In it we discuss what it's like living in a pre-pandemic Chicago, how to jump start your improv career, and which special skills are particularly useful these days.
Joanne is an improviser, actress, and writer. She has written and produced sketches, as well as a docu-series and is very involved in the Chicago comedy world. This extra long episode is filled with nuggets of wisdom as well as off the wall energy, so strap in as we break the hiatus with this long awaited gem of an episode.

Chicago | Hannah Green | 003
In this episode, I chat with Hannah Green, a double degree graduate (Music/Acting), who hails from Chicago. She’s worked for a handful of different companies on the storefront theatre scene, and her momentum has recently landed her an agent. We talk about the city transitioning from a childhood home to a career base, it’s grit and how it encourages you to “get good”, and the perils the winter poses to your vocal health.

Atlanta | Kaitlin Moews | 002
This week I chat with Kaitlin Moews about her transition from her training to settling into the Atlanta market.
Kaitlin is an indie film actress and a true self-starter. We cover the fight against the prejudice of LA actors being cast over Atlanta actors, how the heartbeat bill has affected the industry, and how much more accessible casting directors are in ATL than in other major markets.

Atlanta | Taylor Rowell | 001
In this episode I sit down with Taylor Rowell to discuss the Atlanta Market.
Taylor is a model and sometimes actor. He has been in the industry since he was seventeen and has worked in casting offices and major radio stations as well as on set.
We discuss how his view of Atlanta widened when he started to discover it's nooks and crannies, the frustrations of being a blue dot in a red state, and how to thrive in the entertainment industry here by being a "yes" person.
