A new analysis from the federal Energy Information Administration shows that this year, oil refineries in the U.S. have been shifting some of their production capacity away from gasoline. They’re producing more “middle distillates,” which includes jet fuel and diesel. The global supply of those products has been tight. Later in the episode, we’ll continue to look at the success of populist political candidates in the U.S. and abroad.

Data centers lost in the midterms
Voters have made their dissatisfaction quite clear with the tech status quo. And it sounds like the Democrats gearing up to take power in the House and Senate might actually do something about that.
Plus, Big Tech spent big on races in this election, but didn't get a whole lot of bang for their buck. But first, a tech issue that was actually on the ballot: data centers.
