Welcome to the wild ride of corporate event planning, where the spreadsheets are perfect, the centerpieces sometimes catch fire, and the martinis are best enjoyed in a coat closet when the chaos finally ends. Join Stacy Ringer and the Ideas NW crew as they spill the tea (and sometimes the vodka) on the adventures and misadventures of pulling off events that look flawless to attendees but often feel like a circus behind the curtain.
From clients-turned-friends to last-minute disasters that somehow become epic wins, this podcast dives into what to do, what not to do, and how to laugh (and maybe cry) your way through it all. Think of it as group therapy with a side of sarcasm, stories that are way too real, and just enough insider tips to make you feel like part of the team.
Because in the end? The best-laid plans rarely go as planned, but the outcomes—like the stories—are unforgettable.
In this episode, we grabbed a Cosmopolitan and a social media expert to talk algorithms, when to post, reels or stills, AI and what we all need to stop posting.
Because apparently, posting and hoping is not a strategy! 🍸

Nobody Told Me
Meeker Days and SIP Puyallup look effortless — and that's the whole trick. This week Aiden, Stacy and Emily get into what actually happens first: mapping an entire downtown, permits nobody thinks about, choosing bands, balancing 100+ vendors, and turning 25 downtown businesses into mini tasting rooms for SIP on October 3 🍸

National Martini Day
Stacy's back after 2 ½ weeks in Maui and this episode is all about the event that took 18 months to pull off. We're breaking down a Waimea conference that had it all: a snow cone bus, kui kui nut bracelet making, an upcountry entertainer named Akoni you need to book immediately, and a closing night with fire dancers, family-style dinner, and a DJ that kept everyone dancing under the stars.
And this week's coat closet moments? Let's just say they're some of our biggest yet , a helicopter and hats are involved. You'll have to listen.

Gracie The Intern
In this episode, our intern Gracie gets her moment in the closet. We shook up the Intern-tini (Mocktail for her) and she spilled what she learned, what surprised her, and what it's really like behind the scenes at IDEAS NW. We hire one intern every summer for aspiring event pros, and Gracie? She crushed it. Cheers, girl. 🍸
