Cultural Identity: Bantu
When someone comes up to you and asks “what are you?”, how do you answer? Do you say American, African American, Black, Somali, Somali Bantu, Oji or Jareer? How old were you when you realized you were a part of this cultural identity and how long did it take you to identify with the identity you chose? These are the questions we explored in this month’s episode with our very special guest; Farhiya. She is a rising high school senior who has joined us today to talk about her journey to her Bantu cultural identity as a woman.

Let's Talk Sisterhood
As Valentine’s Day approaches and we are bombarded with these grand gestures of women receiving gifts, roses and being taken out on dates by their partners, let us turn to our friendships and demand the same.
In this week’s episode, I invited Ahado - who is 1/2 of LetsTalkBantu podcast to talk about what deep platonic intimacy could look like in our lives when we allow our sisters to fill our cups and show up for us in ways some of us (including myself) have never experienced. I hope you all enjoy this special Galentine's Day episode!
