Build a Runway, Validate Fast, and Debrief with Data
The episode addresses the emotional gut punch of launching a program to "crickets" and explains that a launch is a runway, not a single "buy now" post, because buyers need time and trust.
It outlines three stages: build awareness with aligned content, list growth, collaborations, and lead magnets that match the end offer; nurture through emails and social by building key beliefs (this works, you can help me, I can do this) and using a live event to teach a framework and bridge to the offer; and validate without building everything first by selling and creating content week by week, optionally with a beta offer.
It stresses doing a launch debrief using metrics (email, sales page, live event, ads, growth), plus what worked/didn't and surveys, separating identity from outcomes, then repeating and refining before scaling with ads.

Burnout, Boundaries, and Building a Sustainable Business
I share a personal episode about realising I wasn't truly switching off despite scheduled rest, feeling overwhelmed by solo parenting, mental load, and constantly thinking about content, launches, and client work.
After a holiday on the Gold Coast, I felt noticeably lighter by locking social media behind AppLock, avoiding scrolling, posting minimally, and stepping away from AI tools, while still checking DMs during a launch.
The break prompted reflection after a stressful live launch and questions about business direction amid years of broken sleep, focusing on nervous system regulation and sustainable systems.
I plan to build high-converting evergreen funnels, lean into podcasts and paid ads, prioritise quality over quantity on social, use automations like Manus reports and Telegram notifications, and focus on finishing one task at a time.
I invite you to reflect on what feels heavy, what to pause, and what systems could create breathing room as the new financial year begins.

How Small Businesses Can Use PR to Show Up in ChatGPT and AI Shopping Search
How Small Businesses Can Use PR to Show Up in ChatGPT and AI Shopping Search
Ash interviews a small business PR coach Gloria Chao about how AI tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity are changing discovery and purchasing, with AI search taking traffic from traditional platforms and enabling in-app checkout via integrations with Shopify, Etsy, PayPal, Amazon, and Walmart.
Gloria argues that AI recommends brands based on third-party trust signals especially earned media such as gift guides, magazines, podcasts, and product reviews rather than popularity or ad spend, making PR crucial for being "chosen," not just seen.
She explains that Perplexity can quickly scrape real-time trends, generate timely pitch angles, and even suggest outlets to contact, helping founders DIY PR without agencies. Examples include founders gaining many features, a Today Show mention boosting AI visibility, and podcast appearances driving Gloria's own rankings.
She offers a free AI masterclass and an Instagram DM freebie.
