For two Sundays, we watched a church answer the hardest question it would ever have to face, and then Luke ends the chapter with two of the best men in the New Testament in a quarrel they could not settle. He does not hide it, he does not soften it, and he does not tell us which one was right. He tells us the work went on and doubled.

What the Law Could Never Do | Acts 13:13-52
In Acts 13:13-52, in a synagogue in Antioch of Pisidia, Paul stood up among people who had the holiest, truest document in the world, the law of Moses, and told them plainly what that good law could never do. It could read them their sentence. It could not lift it. By the end of his sermon the room had split down the middle: some begged to hear more, and some folded their arms and walked away. The whole thing turned on two verses, 38 and 39, where Paul says that everyone who believes is freed from everything the law of Moses could never free them from.
