What Comes Out of You When Life Gets Hard? EP 15 - Meant To Live
What comes out of you when life gets hard? Anyone can have patience when everything is going their way. But what happens when you’re exhausted? When someone hurts you? When your kids are driving you crazy? When you're angry, stressed, tempted, or completely alone? That’s where the real test begins. In this episode of Meant To Live, Paulo Cardoso gets honest about what it means to actually live out your faith when life gets messy. He dives into the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5 and asks a question that is easy to avoid: What is your life producing? Paulo shares openly about his own struggles with pornography, temptation, anger, self-control, marriage, and learning that asking for help isn't weakness. He talks about the small moments when nobody is watching—the text you choose not to send, the temptation you choose to walk away from, the argument you choose not to escalate, and the moment you stop and ask, “Jesus, how do You want me to respond?” Because spiritual growth doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like a three-second pause. Sometimes it looks like admitting, “I'm struggling.” Sometimes it looks like choosing patience when you'd rather explode. And sometimes it looks like realizing that you're not failing because you're still struggling—you may actually be growing because you're responding differently than you used to. There’s one idea Paulo keeps coming back to: What you feed grows. Feed anger, and anger grows. Feed fear, and fear grows. Feed lust, and lust grows. But feed your relationship with God, your marriage, your friendships, gratitude, and truth—and something different begins to grow inside you. So don't ask yourself whether you're perfect. Ask yourself: Am I growing? And perhaps the harder question: What am I feeding right now that is producing something in my life I don't want? This is a raw, practical conversation about faith, temptation, self-control, identity, and becoming more like Jesus in the ordinary moments of everyday life. Would you still do the right thing if nobody would know? EP 14 - Meant To Live
Would You Still Do the Right Thing If Nobody Would Know? Would you still do the right thing if you knew nobody would ever find out? What if doing the right thing cost you money? Your reputation? Your job? Your relationships? What if the easier choice was right there in front of you? In this episode of Meant To Live, Nathan and Paulo have a brutally honest conversation about integrity, identity, temptation, and the pressure to compromise when the culture around you is telling you to do something different. Paulo shares the story of finding a wallet containing thousands of dollars during a financially difficult season—and the decision he made when he realized nobody would know if he kept it. Nathan shares a very different encounter with two teenagers caught stealing from a store. Both stories lead to the same question: Who are you when nobody is watching? The conversation goes deeper from there. What actually determines our definition of right and wrong? How do we make difficult choices when the wrong choice seems easier? And what happens when our identity is built on something deeper than our circumstances, our culture, our success, or other people's opinions? For Nathan and Paulo, that foundation is Jesus. They talk about what it means to know your identity as a child of God, resist simply conforming to the culture around you, and allow your faith to shape the way you live when the choice isn't easy. Because integrity isn't just about the big moments. It's about the choices you make when nobody is watching. The question is: Would you still do the right thing if nobody would know? What if Smaller is actually better? Ep 13 - Meant To Live
What if the thing you’re trying to make bigger is actually making your life smaller? We live in a world obsessed with more—more money, more followers, more success, bigger businesses, bigger homes, bigger muscles, bigger platforms. But somewhere along the way, we started believing that bigger automatically means better. In this episode of Meant To Live, Nathan Weaver and Paulo Cardoso have an honest conversation about what happens when we stop chasing “more” and start paying attention to what really matters. They talk about the trap of comparison, the pressure to look successful on social media, why we can struggle to appreciate the blessings we’ve already received, and how easily our identity can become tied to what someone else has. But the conversation goes even deeper. Jesus talked about the Kingdom of God using something incredibly small: a mustard seed. Nathan and Paulo explore why God isn't afraid of small beginnings—and why the small things we often overlook can carry far more potential than we realize. A small act of kindness. A real conversation. A relationship. A seed of faith. One person whose life is changed. Maybe you don't need more. Maybe you need to recognize the significance of what you already have. And maybe your responsibility isn't to control how big it becomes. Maybe your job is simply to plant the seed and trust God with the growth. If you've been feeling behind, comparing your life to everyone else's, or wondering why you haven't achieved more by now, this conversation offers a different perspective on success, faith, purpose, and what it means to live fully. What if smaller is actually better? Listen and decide what that question means for your life. This is Meant To Live—real conversations about Spirit, Mind, and Body, and what it means to live fully in the life God created you to live.

How to Trust Jesus When You Don’t Know What’s Next - Ep 12
How to Trust Jesus When You Don’t Know What’s Next What do you do when you trust Jesus—but you still don’t know what’s going to happen? When the money is tight. When your prayers seem unanswered. When you’re anxious about your family, your future, or what comes next. When you desperately want God to show you the entire plan. In this episode of Meant To Live, Paulo Cardoso gets practical about what it actually looks like to trust Jesus every day. Because faith isn’t always about knowing where the road leads. Sometimes, it’s simply trusting God enough to take the next step. Paulo shares five practical ways to build daily trust in Jesus: • Put Jesus before your phone, social media, and the noise of the world • Be completely honest and vulnerable with Jesus • Remember who you are and make sure your roots are planted in Him • Stop asking God for the entire map and take the next turn • Stop living tomorrow today and give God what you cannot control Along the way, Paulo talks about anxiety, unanswered prayers, identity, obedience, vulnerability, and the pressure we put on ourselves trying to control things that haven't even happened yet. You don't need to understand everything before you trust God. You don't need to see the whole road. You just need to know who you're walking with. If you're in a season where you don't know what's next, this conversation is for you. Jesus, I don't understand what's happening. But I know I'm Yours. Help me trust You today. When Life Gets Hard, Remember This - Ep 11 - Meant To Live
What do you do when life gets hard and you feel like you can't handle what’s in front of you? In this episode of Meant to Live, Nathan Weaver shares a personal story about cancer, fear, faith, and one powerful lesson he learned from Joshua 3: remember what God has already brought you through. When the Israelites crossed the Jordan River, God told them to take stones from the middle of the river and build a monument on the other side. Those stones were a reminder of what God had done—so when another difficult season came, they wouldn't forget His faithfulness. Nathan shares how that story changed the way he looks at the hard things in his own life, including the moment he was facing the possibility of death after being airlifted to San Francisco. Hard seasons don't always mean you're on the wrong path. Sometimes the challenges you face are building the strength, character, faith, and resilience you'll need for what comes next. If you're facing something difficult right now, remember this: You've overcome hard things before. You are not alone. God has been faithful before. And you can face what's next. In this episode: Why we forget what we've already overcome How difficult experiences build resilience The lesson Nathan learned from Joshua 3 Why we need our own "stones of remembrance" How faith changes the way we face adversity Why challenges can be part of growth Why you shouldn't face hard things alone If this episode speaks to you, subscribe to Meant to Live, share it with someone who needs to hear it, and leave a review. The Person Who Hurt You Might Still Be Controlling Your Life - Ep10 - Meant to Live
What if the person who hurt you is still controlling your life? They may be gone. You may not speak to them anymore. They may not even know how much space they still occupy in your mind. But if you're still carrying the anger, resentment, bitterness, or pain, are they really gone? In this episode of Meant To Live, Nathan Weaver and Paulo Cardoso take on one of the hardest—and most misunderstood—subjects in life: forgiveness. Because forgiveness isn't as simple as saying, “I forgive you.” What if they never apologize? What if they don't think they did anything wrong? What if you forgive them but don't trust them? What if the relationship was deeply abusive? What if forgiving someone doesn't mean allowing them back into your life? And perhaps the biggest question of all: What if refusing to forgive is actually giving the person who hurt you power over your future? Paulo gets deeply personal, sharing his journey of forgiving his father after years of profound hurt. Nathan and Paulo unpack the difference between forgiveness, trust, reconciliation, boundaries, and justice—because they are not the same thing. They also explore what Jesus taught about forgiveness, why Jesus said to forgive “seventy times seven,” the powerful story of Joseph forgiving his brothers, and what happens when we refuse to release the debts others owe us. And then the conversation takes an unexpected turn: What does science say about forgiveness? The research discussed in this episode points toward potential benefits for emotional and mental well-being, while also making an important distinction: forgiveness doesn't magically erase pain or guarantee healing. It's part of the journey. Here's the challenge from this episode: Forgiveness doesn't mean what happened was okay. Forgiveness doesn't automatically restore trust. Forgiveness doesn't eliminate consequences. Forgiveness doesn't require reconciliation. But forgiveness may be the decision to stop allowing what happened to determine who you become. So take a hard look at your own life: Who are you still carrying? Who still has space in your mind? Who do you need to forgive? And maybe even harder: Who do you need to ask for forgiveness? Because the person who hurt you may have already moved on. The question is whether you have. This is Meant To Live—real conversations about body, mind, spirit, faith, relationships, and becoming the person you were created to be. If this episode hits home, share it with someone who needs to hear it. #Forgiveness #ChristianPodcast #Faith #MentalHealth #MeantToLive #MeantToLivePodcast

One YES Can Completely Change Your Future - Ep 8 - Meant To Live - fixed audio - sorry!
Most people say NO by default. They say no to opportunities. No to change. No to uncomfortable conversations. No to the very things that could transform their future. But what if your next breakthrough is waiting on the other side of one simple word: YES? In this episode of Meant To Live, Nathan and Paulo pull back the curtain on two unexpected life changes that neither of them planned. New careers. New challenges. New seasons. And a powerful lesson they never saw coming. You'll hear why: God doesn't always answer prayers the way we expect. Some of life's greatest blessings arrive disguised as inconvenience. One courageous "yes" can redirect the course of your entire life. This isn't just another conversation about faith. It's about making decisions when life feels uncertain, trusting God when nothing makes sense, and becoming the kind of person who says yes to growth instead of comfort. If you're standing at a crossroads, wrestling with a big decision, or wondering why life hasn't gone according to plan, this episode is for you.
