Medicine in the Mirror

About Medicine in the Mirror

Are you tired of looking in the mirror and thinking, that doesn’t feel like me? What happened to my energy? My confidence? My skin? My body? Where did my sparkle go? If that sounds familiar, this podcast is for you. Medicine in the Mirror explores the connection between how we feel on the inside and how we see ourselves on the outside. Because healthy ageing is about more than appearance. It is about understanding your body, your health, your choices and what helps you feel like yourself again. Hosted by Dr Kirshni Appanna, a specialist GP and cosmetic doctor with more than 30 years of experience in medicine, the podcast invites you into Dr K’s inner circle to demystify health, ageing, menopause, hormones, skin, cosmetic medicine, wellbeing and mindset. Through solo episodes and conversations with leading experts, Dr K cuts through the noise and shares practical, evidence-informed information on everything from skincare, injectables and aesthetic treatments to gut health, lifestyle, weight, sexual health, menopause and the many changes that come with ageing. The aim is not to chase perfection or turn back the clock. It is to help you understand what is happening, know what your options are and make informed decisions that feel right for you. Dr K hopes to empower you to become the CEO of your health, make informed decisions with confidence and, ultimately, live your best reflection.
