Finding Your Heart In Psalms
What do God's people feel while living in one kingdom but longing for another? Why does Psalms speak so deeply to the believer's inner life? How does God turn fear into trust, sorrow into hope, and suffering into worship? Psalms is the emotional heartbeat of Kingdom citizens — the place where believers learn to feel right in a world that feels wrong. This message explores how Psalms captures the full range of human experience while living in one kingdom and longing for another: sorrow and joy, fear and confidence, suffering and hope. You'll see how Psalms fits within the five personalized books of Scripture, how its five-book structure mirrors the Pentateuch, and how its theme in Psalm 37:9–11 assures us that evil will fall, the righteous will rise, and the meek will inherit everlasting peace. In Psalms, pain asks "Why?" and hope answers "Not forever," teaching God's people how to turn fear into trust, sorrow into hope, confusion into confidence, and weakness into worship as we wait for our coming King. ✅ Sign up to join thousands of others feasting on Dr. Briney's Vitamins For The Soul newsletter. ➡️ START your dose of spiritual nourishment to enrich your life now by clicking: https://patrickbriney.com/vitamins --------- Church Vision ---------- --------------CONTENT---------------- 00:00 Living in One Kingdom While Hoping for Another 09:42 The Five Personal Books — The Kingdom Felt From the Inside 17:01 When Pain Asks "Why?" and Hope Answers "Not Forever" 21:18 Psalms in the Old Testament — The Kingdom Felt and Lived 22:35 The Hidden Architecture of Mirrors in Psalms 25:20 The Hope Worth Feeling Good About
