So I gave the example of like if you used evocation to create like a hut to protect the group from the rain, party members who disbelieve the hut would then get rained on, whereas the ones who believe in the hut would not be. Doug pointed out that characters can choose to fail a save automatically. So you don't need to worry about being too smart for the hut and getting drenched because of your canniness, you can just choose to fail your disbelieve.
