[…] Hydrocarbon exporters, yes, they are that, but they also do import large amounts of energy. Since 2007, the UAE has been importing one-third of its gas needs from Qatar. So it is an energy gas importer. Iraq imports water. a lot of its gas for its power needs. It used to import a lot of its diesel and gasoline from neighboring countries because it didn't have enough refineries to refine its own oil. So yes, these countries actually are, to some extent, energy importers. So energy security is not a new thing, right? What is new, I think, about the conflict that we've just seen and that we're still trying to resolve is two things, right? […]
