From Artist to Entrepreneur: How Ads Can Scale an Online Art School to $2M in Revenue – with Flo Morin
Most businesses run ads, and many of them lose money doing it. Florence "Flo" Morin found a way to make ads work. She's an artist from Québec, Canada, who built an online art school for a French-speaking audience. Today it brings in close to $2M a year with only three full-time employees, and most of that growth comes from Facebook ads.
Her success didn't come overnight. Before it all came together, Flo launched a serialized novel to crickets, lost money on dropshipping, and ran a fitness coaching business that ended with exactly one client. Each failure taught her a skill she still uses today.
In this episode, Flo and I talk about:
How she plans every month backwards from a revenue goal
The metrics she tracks, and why spending on ads is really gathering data
What makes an ad work: aligning the offer, the audience and the message
Why most founders give up after too few tests
How she rebuilt after revenue dropped from $1M to $700K
Why a printed magazine now makes up more than half of her business
The mindset shift artists, and all passion-driven founders, need to make to earn money
Her advice for every entrepreneur: "Don't launch a product. Launch a customer solution."
About FloFlorence "Flo" Morin is an artist and entrepreneur from Québec, Canada. She runs an online art school that teaches drawing and painting through a year-round membership with weekly live lessons and through a printed monthly magazine. She also speaks about paid ads and marketing at business conferences.

Have you ever had a business idea but felt stuck because you didn't have the technical skills to build it? That feeling is about to change.
In this episode, I sit down with Katja Rubin, AI educator and strategist, who has made it her mission to make AI genuinely accessible to everyone — not just developers and tech people.

Whether you're a founder, a business owner, or just someone who's been watching from the sidelines wondering if AI is for you — this episode is your sign to just try.
What we cover:
What vibe coding actually is and why it's a game changer for non-technical people
Why you're not too late — and why now is the perfect window
How to find the right problem to solve with AI
Real examples of people building products without writing a single line of code
Where to start if you want to build confidence with AI this week

Business Updates: What I'm Building With Vibe Coding, The Bottleneck Problem & Founder Health
In this solo episode, Anja shares a candid update on what's really going on behind the scenes of running a business for over a decade.
First, she talks about one of the most common founder traps: being too involved in operations. Anja opens up about how she became the bottleneck in her own company and what she's actively doing to change that — from giving her team more ownership to learning the difference between reacting and responding.
Then she shares what she's been building with vibe coding. In Q1 of 2026, Anja discovered how AI tools are transforming the way she runs her company — from dashboards that pull data from multiple platforms into one place, to AI agents that take over tasks so she can focus on what actually matters. She also shares why she believes every business leader needs to be personally in the game when it comes to AI — not just their team.
Finally, real talk on health. Using her Whoop tracker, Anja shares what happened to her biological age during one of the most stressful periods she's had in years — and why she believes sustainable businesses are not built by burning out their leaders.
Anja is also looking for a co-host for future solo episodes — reach out via the show notes if that sounds like you!
Topics: founder delegation, AI tools for business, vibe coding, entrepreneur health, nervous system regulation
