[…] Those 16 critical infrastructure sectors are divided into lifeline and core systems. That's where IT sits. AI would go there. Industrial and defense foundations and public safety and civil assets. Each sector has a risk management agency, so energy goes to Department of Energy, financial services to Treasury, defense industrial base to defense, et cetera. So just to make things more complicated, there are numerous dependencies above the different sectors, and they are all mapped out and managed by CISA and those lead agencies so that the communication between companies that have to communicate across sectors and within sectors can be effectively managed.
