2025 Broward-MIAMI President Larry Singh, MIAMI Director of Broward Outreach Jalina Pittman and Ana Maria talk about how MIAMI's award-winning advocacy team works with elected lawmakers to shape policy to help homeowners and business owners.
They talk about how the State Legislature helped first-time homebuyers once again earlier this year with more funding for the Hometown Heroes program. The trio also talk about one of the hottest topics right now in the state --- property taxes. Ana Maria doesn't believe property taxes will be eliminated in Florida because this is how we keep our cities running. But she sees other possibilities such as increasing the homestead threshold.

BROWARD-MIAMI Podcast Episode 5: State of the Condo Market
Now this episode is a conversation with MIAMI REALTORS® Chief of Residential & Advocacy Danielle Blake.
2025 Broward-MIAMI President Larry Singh, MIAMI Director of Broward Outreach Jalina Pittman and Danielle talk about the state of the condo market in the wake of new state condo regulations requiring inspections of older condominium buildings and adequate reserves for repairs. Danielle led a sold-out Condo Summit and is spearheading a MIAMI condo task force that is looking to provide even more support and advocacy for condo owners and associations.
Did you know: Florida is the only state in the U.S. that requires a client to put down 25% for a limited financing review if the condo building doesn’t have enough in reserves. The requirement for every other state is 10%. Why is Florida the only state that is being geotargeted?
