Everything Went Wrong Before He Even Left Base Camp | Everest 2026
Before Tim even reached Everest base camp, four separate things went wrong. This is Part One - and it gets worse. Tim Allardyce is a physio from the UK who set out on a Mount Everest expedition in 2026 with a plan. The plan didn't survive contact with reality. In this episode: a back injury days before departure. Lost luggage stranding him in Kathmandu. His climbing Sherpa medically evacuated off the mountain. And an ice tower in the Khumbu Icefall that closed the entire route for three weeks. We also get into what it's actually like to cross the Khumbu Icefall - five aluminium ladders over a crevasse you can't see the bottom of. The only route in or out of Everest base camp in 2026. Every climber who summited crossed this. Multiple times. Parts Two and Part Three coming soon. 🎙️ Miss the pre-expedition interview? Part Zero is here: • He blacked out on Ama Dablam. Everest is n... The Unhinged Reality of my First Everest Season
492 permits. Over 1,000 people. One route. My first Everest 2026 season was, honestly, a lot. This is the full story - the chaos, the records, and the moments that had me staring at my screen with my jaw on the floor. A 55-meter ice serac in the Khumbu Icefall delayed the entire season by three weeks. Queues backed up to breaking point. And one Sherpa guide (Hillary Dawa Sherpa) was left for dead at Camp 4... and somehow found alive days later. Kami Rita Sherpa hit his 32nd summit. A double amputee climbed on his arms. Shaunna Burke, the first person with Stage 4 cancer reached the top. And somehow, 274 people summited in a single day - smashing every record in history. But five people didn't make it home. One went missing and was later found alive. And the question nobody wants to answer is: was any of this avoidable? This is Everest 2026 - record crowds, record summits, and a mountain that still does whatever it wants. Should they cap the permits? Is Mount Everest Climbing becoming too dangerous? Let me know what you think in the comments. 🛋️ New videos every week - Everest disasters, survival stories, and people doing absolutely unhinged things. 🔔 Hit subscribe so you never miss a story. He woke up in a grave of ice. (Everest’s most unhinged survival story!)
Beck Weathers shouldn't be alive. In 1996, Mount Everest decided he was done - and his team agreed. This is the unhinged true survival story of a man who was left for dead in the Everest death zone not once, but twice. While we look back at the 30-year legacy of the 1996 tragedy, we’re diving into the mystery of how Beck managed to walk back to camp when his body had already turned to ice. From the sofa, we’re breaking down the ethics of abandonment and the miracle that followed. In this podcast: 0:00 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW7vWQQjj2c) - Beck Weathers the miracle! 1:01 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW7vWQQjj2c&t=61s) - Beck before Everest 2:09 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW7vWQQjj2c&t=129s) - The Expedition and the chaos of the 1996 storm. 6:38 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW7vWQQjj2c&t=398s) - Beck Weathers wakes up! 9:39 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW7vWQQjj2c&t=579s) - The aftermath 10:48 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW7vWQQjj2c&t=648s) - My thoughts FREE Everest Read / Watch guide - https://linktr.ee/michelle.vs.humanity (https://linktr.ee/michelle.vs.humanity) My other channels: https://www.instagram.com/michelle.vs.humanity/ (https://www.instagram.com/michelle.vs.humanity/) https://www.tiktok.com/@michelle.vs.humanity (https://www.tiktok.com/@michelle.vs.humanity) https://www.youtube.com/@michelle.vs.humanity (https://www.youtube.com/@michelle.vs.humanity)

He Got Trapped at 28,000 Feet! The 1996 Everest Disaster
Exactly 30 years ago, the 1996 Everest Disaster changed high-altitude climbing forever. From Rob Hall's heartbreaking last call to his wife, to the unhinged chaos of the storm - this is what really happened. May 10, 1996. Eight people never made it home in a single 24-hour period on the world's highest mountain. What started as a commercial summit attempt with Adventure Consultants ended in one of the most devastating days in mountaineering history. And 30 years later, we're still asking how it happened. Rob Hall - one of the most respected guides on the mountain - made his final radio call to his pregnant wife from 29,000 feet. Alone. In a storm. With no oxygen left. This is that story. We're also diving into the chaos that unfolded around him - from Beck Weathers being left for dead (twice) to Anatoli Boukreev 's controversial decisions that still divide the climbing community to this day. If you've read Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer, you know how unhinged this gets. If you haven't - you're about to find out. Everest 30 years later, and the mountain still wins. The question is: whose fault was it? Drop your thoughts in the comments. I'M DONE | The Moment She Almost Quit Everest
Everest survival stories reached a new level of unhinged in 2022. While Everest 2026 brings new rules, the story of Jane and Gabby Kanizay remains a masterclass in survival ethics. I sat down with Jane Kanizay to hear the raw truth about the moment she looked at her daughter, Gabby, and said: "I'M DONE." In this Mount Everest summit interview, we dive into the terrifying reality of going blind in the Death Zone, how easy it is to run out of oxygen, and why Jane’s daughter refused to let her quit just 900 meters from the top. We also discuss the "Teach Us Consent" campaign and what it’s really like for the youngest Australian to achieve an Everest-Lhotse double summit. Everest's $20 Million Problem is Getting Worse!
Everest is a lawless place where survival has a price tag - and for the Everest 2026 season, that bill is rigged. From $31,000 helicopter rescues for a headache to forged signatures (and NOT baking soda poisoning) in the death zone, the $20 million insurance scandal is just the tip of the iceberg. ⛰️🫣 In this episode of Lawless Everest, I’m diving into the unhinged reality of high-altitude fraud. We’re looking at the tragic abandonment of Nils Antezana, the "Photoshop" peaks of fake summiters, oxygen theft and the $20 million insurance conspiracy tearing the mountain apart. If you thought the mountain was dangerous because of the weather, wait until you hear about the people. Everest is over. The unhinged 2026 rules!
Everest 2026 is over. Between the "poop rule," mandatory tracking chips, and a total ban on solo climbers, the 2026 season is shaping up to be the most unhinged disaster in mountaineering history. ⛰️🫣 In today’s deep dive, we’re looking at why the 2026 Mount Everest rules are changing everything. With the North side in Tibet closing, every single climber is being funnelled onto the Nepal South side, creating a "Lawless Everest" scenario of overcrowding and chaos. From the $20,000 fines to the ethics of "wag bags" in the death zone, I’m breaking down the 5 new rules that will either save the mountain - or destroy the climbing experience forever. He blacked out on Ama Dablam. Everest is next!
He blacked out on Ama Dablam. Mount Everest 2026 is next. 🏔️🤯 What really happened when his brain betrayed him? In this gripping and raw interview, I sit down with physiotherapist and aspiring Everest 2026 climber, Tim Allardyce. But Tim's journey is far from ordinary. We dive deep into the mind-bending realities of high-altitude climbing, including his shocking three-hour memory loss incident on Ama Dablam - a terrifying precursor to the psychological and physical gauntlet of Everest. Tim shares the brutal 18-month training regimen 🏋️♂️, the immense personal sacrifices, and what he thinks about the huge queues predicted at Everest's summit this year. We explore the fine line between ambition and obsession, what it's like to have your brain swell up, and the raw, unhinged realities of life in the Death Zone. This isn't your average climbing story. This is a no-holds-barred look at what drives someone to push beyond human limits, even when their own mind betrays them. Everest's Death Zone Is Destroying Climbers' Brains
So. The Death Zone. 8,000 metres above sea level on Everest, where your body just... starts giving up on you. Brain swelling, lungs filling with fluid, full-on hallucinations - and people are up there VOLUNTARILY. Still haven't worked out why... In this podcast I'm diving into exactly what happens to your body in Mount Everest's Death Zone - above 8,000m, why even the most experienced climbers in the world can't stay up there for long, and why - despite all of this - people keep going back. It is absolutely unhinged. Let's get into it. 🛋️ 🏔️ Subscribe if you're into Everest disasters, survival stories, and people doing deeply questionable things at extreme altitude. 3 Everest Stories that will HAUNT you!
Left for dead on Mount Everest - these are the tragic stories of Beck Weathers, Green Boots, and David Sharp. In 1996, Beck Weathers was left for dead - twice - in the Everest death zone during the deadliest disaster in Mount Everest history. Against all odds, he survived. His survival story remains one of the most extraordinary tales of climbing Mount Everest ever told. Green Boots - believed to be Indian climber Tsewang Paljor - became one of the most famous dead bodies on Everest. For decades, his body near the Everest summit served as a grim landmark for every climber passing through the death zone on the North face of Everest. David Sharp's death in 2006 sparked global outrage. Over 40 climbers walked past him as he lay dying on Mount Everest. His story forced the mountain climbing community to confront an uncomfortable question: what do we owe each other on the mountain? These are the Everest deaths nobody talks about - and the stories that will stay with you long after this video ends.
