Welcome to the Forgotten Frequencies…This is Midnight Hostility Radio. Check out Midnight Hostility Radio every week hosted by Sam Namo. Uncensored and Unforgiving. Also check out Midnight Hostility Afterhours. Afterhours is simple. Namo gets a question and breaks it down until you get a final answer.
On this episode of Midnight Hostility Radio , Namo looks back at how we went from the radio of the 80's and 90's to what we have today and how pathetic it really is. Also a look at why Sirius signed Howard Stern for 3 more years, the Epstein files and how celebrity/political worship alters the view on who's on it. Namo also breaks down the outdated formats of late night talk shows, subscription radio and the 2026 debut of the great Frankie MacDonald.
The first episode of Midnight Hostility Radio of 2026 hits two topics on Namo's mind.
The first being Sirius Radio wasting money bringing a long, past his prime Howard Stern back for three years and the Mets pursuit of Kyle Tucker in a battle with the Toronto Blue Jays for him.
The Details......
Howard Stern Signs New 3-Year SiriusXM Contract
Radio legend Howard Stern has signed a new three-year contract to keep hosting The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM, ending speculation about his retirement. Stern announced the deal on his show, saying he’s “figured out a way to have it all” with more free time and continued on-air presence beginning in early January. The agreement reportedly includes a more flexible schedule for the 71-year-old host and his longtime co-host Robin Quivers, though specific financial terms were not publicly disclosed. Stern has been with SiriusXM since 2006, where his show airs on dedicated channels and remains a central part of the satellite radio service.
Top free agent Kyle Tucker (formerly with the Cubs in 2025) is a major target in MLB free agency. The New York Mets have made a big push, reportedly offering a short-term, high-value contract (about ~$50 million per year), with multiple years on the table as they try to bolster their lineup. Meanwhile, the Toronto Blue Jays remain in the hunt with a longer-term offer that could rival or exceed other suitors. Many insiders still view Toronto as a strong fit and possibly the favorite, though a decision could come very soon as teams continue negotiating.
In the summer of 2021, Bronx Johnny from the Ron & Fez Show joined Namo's Reckless Airwaves Radio to reflect on the recent passing of Fez Watley, sharing personal memories, on-air stories, and emotional reactions. The conversation balances grief and gratitude as Johnny recalls working with Ron and Fez and the mentorship Fez provided.
Topics include life as an intern on Ron & Fez and Opie & Anthony-era shows, the craft of producing bits, behind-the-scenes anecdotes from Yankee Stadium security days, and memorable moments from classic Ron & Fez bits and tutorials.
The episode also tackles the changing landscape of radio and podcasting—cancel culture, the rise of personality-driven podcasts like High Society Radio, and shout-outs to contemporary creators—while underlining the importance of fans and community.
Expect a raw, candid mix of tribute, insider stories, industry perspective, and heartfelt emotion as Bronx Johnny honors Fez’s impact and legacy.
