On this episode of MITM Laura welcomes back Tommy from the “Let’s Get Freaky" Podcast. He joins Laura to pick up where they left off the last time he was on the show and the stories get freakier! Tommy starts out with a weird story where his family goes on a trip to cabin and something creepily whispering “Happy Birthday” to his daughter. Then they talk about a holiday home (built in the 1600’s) his grandparents almost purchased, despite Tommy and his family telling them that the house had a menacing presence. A stranger gives his grandfather a message to not purchase the house or it would result in danger. Next Tommy shares the eerie story of how his great-great grandmother had a conversation with her son in her room one morning. Later that morning she went downstairs to ask where he son was and she was told he was still at war in France. Later that day they received a phone call saying he had been killed at war. Other stories including haunting folklore, tales of women in white, restless spirits, cloaked figures and bodies covered in white sheets.

39: Haints and Boogers
On this episode of MITM Laura and Aaron share, Appalachian haint and booger stories from the past. Stories are shared from the second book of the Foxfire series. The stories in the book were transcribed just as they were told from the Appalachian people back in the 1960's, these stories can date as far back to the mid 1800's. These stories all share common threads of paranormal happenings that you hear today. Stories of ungodly looking boogers (bigfoot), riding in Model T's, a black hairy beast lurking in a bedroom at night and disappearing as a fireball orb through the home and frightening cloaked encounters are retold.
Little ghost girls in white, luring phantom baby cries in the woods, a mischievous unseen entity sneaking up on a child and shoving him to the ground, noisy cloaked spirits banging under house porches, are all some of the encounters that are recounted.
