In The Mix: Deeno : Messing Up The House | August 2026 – PRE-PARTY MIX (FOR FRIDAY AUGUST 21, 2026) – TECHNO TREATMENT – “A Night Of Electronic Music Under The Stars” – Featuring DJ’s: MATTLOK, DEENO, G-LOVE

Techno Treatment — Pre-Party Mix (2026) With more than three decades behind the decks, Deeno brings a deep-rooted passion for house music to Techno Treatment on August 21, 2026 in Kitchener, Ontario. Drawing on influences from Chicago, Detroit, New York, Toronto and the UK, his sets blend experience, instinct and the traditional art of mixing into a sound built for memorable nights under the stars. A long time DJ from Ontario, Canada. Dino "DEENO" Busato has been playing with vinyl since he was a young kid, rummaging through his parents record collection. In 1992 at the age of fourteen he began mixing on his own using tape decks, CD players & turntables ~ whatever he could get his hands on. Discovering House music at the age of fifteen, he became greatly influenced by early UK, Chicago, New York, Detroit and Toronto House. His sound has evolved into an array of dance music in the finest order which makes Dino a DJ that creates soundtracks of nights to remember. He has shared the stage with some of electronic music’s finest including Roy Davis Jr, John Acquaviva, Fred Everything, Alton Miller, J Dub, Johnny Fiasco, The Crystal Method, Way Out West, The Orb, Kenny Glasgow and Kevin Yost. Over the years, Dino has perfected the traditional art of mixing music. He is, also, an avid producer & remixer with releases out on Fine Grind Audio (FGA). Friday, August 21, 2026 — Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. 8 PM–Midnight · PWYC · Leave No Trace · P.L.U.R. Secret outdoor location announced the day before.

In The Mix: MattLok : Pre-Party Mix | (FOR FRIDAY AUGUST 21, 2026) – TECHNO TREATMENT – “A Night Of Electronic Music Under The Stars” – Featuring DJ’s: MATTLOK, DEENO, G-LOVE

Techno Treatment — Pre-Party Mix (2026) Techno Treatment captures MattLok in full peak-hour mode ahead of the August 21, 2026 outdoor event in Kitchener, Ontario — a pre-party mix built to set the tone for a night of electronic music under the stars. Blending Peak Hour Techno, Toolroom-inspired Tech House, rolling house basslines and pumping funky disco grooves, the mix moves through the different sides of MattLok’s sound without losing its late-night drive. It is heavy when it needs to be, funky when the room calls for it, and rooted throughout in the kind of house music designed for a proper sound system and dancefloor. The set also brings together several of MattLok’s own productions, VIP remixes, mashups and unreleased edits, including Dutch Delight with DJ Jace, Righhht! featuring MC Flipside, This Generation Is House Music with Robby Riggs, and peak-hour reworks of tracks from Didier Sinclair, Hatiras, Carbon Copy and more. Alongside those exclusives are records and influences stretching across generations of house and club music — from Cajmere & Dajae, Ian Pooley, Armand Van Helden, Green Velvet and 6400 Crew to newer Tech House productions, edits and festival-ready club records. The result connects the raw spirit of classic house with the harder, cleaner punch of today’s peak-hour sound. More than simply a promotional mix, Techno Treatment is a preview of what MattLok is bringing outdoors on August 21: Techno, Tech House and House played without rigid boundaries — rolling basslines, dark grooves, disco energy, familiar records turned sideways, and enough funk to keep everything moving. Joining MattLok under the stars are Deeno and G-Love, bringing their own energy and selections to a night built around the shared spirit of underground electronic music. Together, the three DJs set the stage for a proper outdoor session where house, techno and everything in between can unfold naturally from sunset into the night. Friday, August 21, 2026 — Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. 8 PM–Midnight · PWYC · Leave No Trace · P.L.U.R. Secret outdoor location announced the day before.

In The Mix: MattLok | Another Night In The Purple Room (2002) | Jan 2002

By 2002, the sound inside the Purple Room had evolved dramatically. The funky disco grooves and jackin’ house vibes of the late 90s were now colliding with the rise of tech-house, tribal percussion, electro influence, acid-driven basslines, and darker big room energy. A Saturday Night In The Purple Room (2002) captures MattLok during that transition period — when the underground sound coming out of Toronto, Miami, London, and Ibiza was becoming tougher, louder, and more hypnotic. Still rooted in house music culture, this set pushes deeper into the era of Superchumbo, Timo Maas, Peace Division, Murk, Tiga, Dave Clarke, and early electro-tech crossover sounds. From the haunting tribal pressure of Dark Beat, the acid-fueled chaos of Tiga remixes, and the warehouse energy of Sandstorm reinterpretations, to the rolling groove science of Hatiras, Roger Sanchez, and Pete Heller, the mix reflects a dancefloor that had shifted from soulful loft vibes into peak-time afterhours territory. Recorded live during MattLok’s residency at the legendary Purple Room inside Revolution Nightclub in Waterloo, Ontario, the tape documents a period when Kitchener-Waterloo nightlife was absorbing the influence of Toronto institutions like The Guvernment, System Soundbar, Industry, and the rising global tribal-tech movement. The transitions became darker, the drums became heavier, and the crowd became more adventurous. Featuring exclusive live mashups, layered acapellas, and MattLok’s own 2002 re-edit of P. Diddy & Kelis’ Let’s Get Ill, this mixtape captures the raw energy of an era where DJs blurred the line between house, techno, tribal, electro, and progressive sounds without hesitation. More than just a club recording, this is a snapshot of a scene evolving in real time — when underground music became harder, sexier, and built for packed dancefloors that didn’t want the night to end.
