Welcome to Mighty Morsels: Bite-sized interspiritual inspiration for illuminating the in-between. Mighty Morsels is presented by A Mighty Kindness: A Sanctuary for Seekers, Skeptics, and Scamps. Each episode is adapted from Interfaith Minister Rev. Jessica Steward's free community offering “Sermon on the Couch.” Sermons on the Couch are offered as live hour-long, interspiritual services for the "spiritual but not religious"—all within our free kindness community called The House of Belonging. You can find out more at www.amightykindness.org.
Even as a minister, I've always had a fickle relationship with peace. It seems so easy to say but often feels so hard to achieve. How does one hold a sense of calm and safety when, frankly, everything in the world right now feels like such bullsh*t? How does one return to a feeling of "unbothered" without spiritually bypassing the realities of systemic, institutionalized, and internalized oppression? Excellent questions.
Listen in as we explore the nature of peace and the ways we can return to its "gooey center" within ourselves over and over again—without losing the courage of our convictions, our fire for justice, and the need to speak up for others when they cannot speak up for themselves.

The Apertures of Life: A Mighty Morsel
The circle is one of the most sacred and important symbols of spiritual growth and community integrity that exists. It is the way of the past and the way to the future. It is the way of nature. And while nature may move in circles, we, ourselves, live in boxes and govern and manage in pyramids. What impact does that have on our hearts, our lives, and our communities? Join Rev. Jessica Steward as she invites you to consider how the power of the circle can subvert inequitable, hierarchal systems of power and set us free as both individuals and as a society.
