Berlin-based producer and founder of PRTL WRX. I spend my days boxed in and in the box, repetition within repetition within repetition and finding peace that way. Mikro's music is the result of that routine.

Mikrotakt - That Dirty Chief Rocka [FREE DL]
Felt like doing something different for this week's "From Start to Finish" Episode.
Been playing around with drum breaks and have been doing some sampling lately.
I woke up this morning and thought Lords of the Underground's "Chief Rocka" would fit perfectly with drum breaks. This is a proper mix of old-school boom bap and jungle breaks I would say. I tried to keep that old-school vibe by using lots of distortion and samples that I recorded onto tape a while back.
The full screen-recording episode has been uploaded onto my Patreon for anyone interested in seeing the production process.

Mikrotakt - From Start to Finish (Vol.03) [FREE DL]
Here is the third edition to the from start to finish series!
This one turned out to be more hypnotic than usual and was wondering at first weather or not to even post this one! But in the end I thought this "From Start to Finish" Series will be a place were I really can just experiment and and go with the flow. Will also be way more interesting to have a variety of style for these so here it is! The full episode is up for streaming on patreon.com/mikrotakt

Mikrotakt - From Start to Finish (Vol.01) [FREE DL]
"From Start to Finish" is a new series in which I screen-recorded the entire production process from beginning to end. I decided to publish this content on "Patreon." If you're new to audio production and want to learn, then these screen recordings might be extremely useful. If you like loops and want to watch them evolve this could be quite entertaining. This first one is around an hour and a half long, so it's relatively quick, I'll attempt to make the other ones similar. I didn't do any video editing, just hit record on OBS and went on doing what I do. I also did not use a microphone, so the only audible sound is from Ableton. I'll attempt to do one of these every week and this is the very first of the series.
