Trump's Putin Diesel Deal & How the Military Recruits Through Deception
Trump's Putin Diesel Deal & How the Military Recruits Through Deception
Gary breaks down Trump's deal to bring 300,000 tons of Russian diesel into the U.S. — a quantity so small it covers less than half a day of American usage and under 1% of global supply. Yet it's packaged to look like a game-changer for farmers, truckers, and everyday diesel users. The real play? Buying votes by making people feel helped while enabling a war criminal. Gary connects the dots to military recruiting: same playbook, different stage — show you what you want to see, tell you what you want to hear, and deliver something else entirely once you're locked in. Both rely on the same thing: people who don't dig past the headline.

Nineteen Acts of Injustice by the Washington National Guard, Act 1: The Boiler Room
Military Illumination — "Nineteen Acts of Injustice by the Washington National Guard, Act 1: The Boiler Room"
A soldier with nearly 19 years of spotless service. A locked boiler room. $52,000 in excess equipment that wasn't theirs. And officers who read the soldier their rights after interrogating the soldier— then admitted it was "to cover our butts."
In this debut episode, host Gary breaks a silence he's held since 1998, walking listeners through the first of nineteen acts of injustice committed by the Washington National Guard against a supply sergeant in Echo Company, 168th Aviation Battalion. The soldier's crime? Refusing to lie in a prior investigation — and for that, officers LTC Brett D Daugherty and Major Palmer Shaw weaponized the military justice system against the soldier.
When another company's supply sergeant stored unaccounted uniforms in a secured boiler room, Dougherty and Shaw seized the opportunity. They violated Article 31 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice — questioning the innocent soldier before reading his rights — then falsified equipment dollar amounts on his Article 15 paperwork to manufacture a case. The soldier who actually committed the offense admitted it freely, faced no consequences, and walked away.
It's a story of corruption hiding behind the Feres Doctrine, of officers who celebrated with high-fives when it was over, and of a justice system designed to protect the powerful — not the principled. Gary's message to anyone in or considering the military: know your rights, keep your mouth shut, and don't trust the system to protect you.
This is Act 1. Eighteen more remain.
