   Give In

Written by Michael Gene Sullivan Music and Lyrics by Daniel Savio Directed by Lisa Hori-Garcia Music Direction by Daniel Savio & Will Durkee Will Durkee - BASS AND GUITAR Daniel Savio - KEYBOARDS AND SLIDE WHISTLE Miguel Jose Wacher - DRUMS AND PERCUSSION Mixed and Mastered by Taylor Gonzalez WRECKAGE: A Musical Tragicomedy features a four-person cast that includes veteran SF Mime Troupe collective members: Michael Gene Sullivan* (Security, Nestor, Bobby, Paul) Jed Parsario* (Gideon, Businessman, Bertrand, Karl, Lance) Keiko Shimosato Carreiro* (Stage Manager, Mari, Jeribeth) Chloris Li (Felicity, Businesswoman, Fredericka, Claudine, Sergeant Nicola, Mari’s Mother) * The Actors and Stage Manager employed in this production are members of Actors' Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States. Is it just us, or does it feel like everything is falling apart? Mari, a flower seller barely managing to hold on in an increasingly unaffordable city, must defend her street corner from invading evangelical Felicity, who is herself torn between joyfully anticipating the Rapture and the discrepancies she’s found in her church’s accounting. Meanwhile Bobbie, a successful software developer who realizes his new AI agent is far from intelligent, is caught between telling his bosses at Anthropomorphic the dangerous truth, or delivering a dud that will - despite endangering the world - boost the stock. And patriotic immigrant Lance joined the National Guard and now finds himself deployed against protesters who are exercising the very freedom of speech he joined the military to defend! Hallucinating robots, economic collapse, protesting frogs, people praying for the End of the World - This is not the future, or the democracy, we were promised! But the real question is: When it’s all over will there be enough left to build something new out of this... Wreckage?

   DISRUPTION - A Musical Farce - Frogwater

Written by Michael Gene Sullivan with Additional Dialogue by Marie Cartier Music and Lyrics by Daniel Savio Directed by Michael Gene Sullivan Music Direction by Daniel Savio Assistant Direction and Choreography by Hugo E. Carbajal DISRUPTION - A Musical Farce features a four-person cast that includes veteran SF Mime Troupe collective members: Michael Gene Sullivan* (Chester, Hector Washington, Bruce); Alicia M.P. Nelson* (Cecille, Zubari Macintosh, Reporter); and features Lizzie Calogero* (Mr. Lawson, Elizabeth, Chief Canem); Jed Parsario* (Augie Dimalanta, Andy, Mayor, Reporter), Taylor Gonzalez (Voice of Interrogator.) SFMT BAND: Guinevere Q (Bass, Voice of AHA!); Daniel Savio (Keyboards); and Jason Young (Drums, Percussion, Guitar). * The Actors and Stage Manager employed in this production are members of Actors' Equity Association, the Union of Professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States. Mixed and Mastered by Taylor Gonzalez In a city where nothing is more important than “innovation,” son of immigrants Augie Dimalanta (Jed Parsario) works hard. His friend Elizabeth (Lizzie Calogero) may think patching over problems is counterrevolutionary, but after his shift at the “Fried T’ings Diner” Augie's life’s all about helping his neighbors navigate an increasingly underfunded and inhuman system. His efforts to make up for the cuts are making a real difference, but at what point does he need to stop plugging the holes in the system and try to change it instead? And while Augie is filling holes, tech genius Zubari Macintosh (Alicia M. P. Nelson) is busy digging more! As the head of MOPS (The Mayor’s Office of Public Safety) she's all about optimization and “efficiency,” making a city attractive to investors and the right kind of people - and who wouldn’t want that? Never mind that she has no experience beyond developing a social media app - how hard can government be? Maybe the only real barrier to giving the people what they really want all this time has been the inefficiency of democracy itself. And with proudly working-class, red-hatted police officers like Hector Washington (Michael Gene Sullivan) to clear the streets, San Francisco will soon be a beautiful and prosperous suburb of Silicon Valley - and hopefully in time for the president’s upcoming visit. But if the city is poised to be a calm, efficient paradise why is everything suddenly on… FIRE!
