Oil of Increase (Pt. 3): The Call for Oil of Wisdom & Knowledge | Joshua Oware
In this message, Joshua Oware explores the call for believers to pursue the oil of wisdom and knowledge—recognising that wisdom is essential for navigating life well. Drawing from Proverbs 9:10, we are reminded that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Without wisdom, we can struggle to discern direction, make sound decisions, and navigate the different seasons and challenges of life. The message challenges us to recognise our need for wisdom and to seek it from God.
Through Exodus 31:3 and 1 Kings 3:5–12, we see the importance of God-given wisdom and understanding. Solomon’s request for wisdom demonstrates the value of asking God for what is needed to fulfil our assignment, while Exodus reminds us that wisdom, understanding, and skill ultimately come from the Spirit of God. The message also highlights the importance of relationships, reminding us that the people and connections God places around us can play a significant role in how we grow, learn, and navigate life. Ultimately, true wisdom points us back to Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Ask God for the wisdom and knowledge you need to navigate your God-given assignment. Listen now on Spotify.
