She initially joined the company as a Companion in 1986. Impressed by Betty and Linda's home nursing and palliative care of her terminally ill mother, and later her aged grandfather, she stumbled into her vocation through their wonderful example. She started her educational journey towards a Registered Nursing degree while continuing to work as a Home Healthcare Aide at Shylo. But, as the search became painful, Helena asked herself: “What if we are not meant to do life on our own with our limited knowledge?”<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>She slowly came to realize our best interest and that of our loved ones is, beyond our capacity to know. After a decade of devoted study and practice, she immersed herself in the minister training program with Modern Miracles in 2018 and was ordained as a spiritual minister by the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry in 2021.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p> <p class="p9"> </p> <p class="p10"><span class="s2">Helena has a thirst for learning and growth. You will always find her either taking a course or being mentored. Some of her mentorships have included David Hoffmeister and the Living Miracles community as well as Dr. Ian MacNaughton, a Peter Levine Legacy Faculty member of the Ergos Institute of Somatic Education. In 2020, she completed a training course with Clear Leadership and was quickly recruited to work with them, all while furthering her trauma education taking a three year Somatic Experiencing®</span><span class="s1"> </span><span class="s2">professional training through Somatic Experiencing® International.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p> <p class="p9"> </p> <p class="p8">Helena currently resides in Vancouver, Canada with her husband and their three boys. As a mother, she practices being patient, consistent, and open-minded as well as having much practice with forgiveness and giving unconditional love. These include foundational personal development programs as well as her flagship program “Getting Unstuck: The Alchemy of Humour,” which has been offered in various iterations for twenty years now.</p> <p class="p2"> </p> <p class="p3">One of Carole's personal interests has been the exploration of film, theatre, and improv.
