<h3>Welcome to&nbsp;<strong>mirror:mirror Cinema Club</strong></h3><p><br></p><p>Every other Thursday, we watch a film and debrief together.</p><br><p><br></p><br><p><br></p><h3>How to&nbsp;<strong>join the club. </strong></h3><p><br></p><p>It’s like a book club - but easier.</p><ol><li><strong>Know</strong>&nbsp;what film we are watching next by following us on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@mirrormirror.cinemaclub" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">TikTok</a>.</li><li><strong>Watch</strong>&nbsp;the film in your own time, or at the agreed time/date with the club.</li><li><strong>Share</strong>&nbsp;your thoughts or react to our prompts with other club members - in the comments on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@mirrormirror.cinemaclub" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">TikTok</a>.</li><li><strong>Tune in</strong>&nbsp;to the mirror:mirror podcast the next day, to hear our thoughts.</li></ol><p><br></p><br><p><br></p><br><p><br></p><h3>We have&nbsp;<strong>two formats. </strong></h3><p><br></p><p><strong>Icons-only:</strong>&nbsp;Topical series.</p><ol><li>We curate a list of must-see films, on a topic that we want to know more about.</li><li>Watch these films on any streaming service or physical media available to you.</li><li>Podcast structure: We watch them independently, then meet up to debrief over drinks. We discuss what made it iconic, what made it unexpected and explore how each one fits into history.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong>IRL releases:</strong>&nbsp;Films in cinema.</p><ol><li>We choose these based on the current zeitgeist.</li><li>To watch these films, you will need to go to the cinema, IRL.</li><li>Podcast structure: We share our pre-conceptions from outside the cinema, then head-on in to watch the film. Afterwards, we rush to a local bar and give our real-time reactions. We deliberate over a one-word review, crown our on and off-screen MVPs and debate over what we each loved (and did not).</li></ol><p><br></p><br><p><br></p><br><p><br></p><h3>Order of&nbsp;<strong>events. </strong></h3><p><br></p><p><strong>In advance: </strong></p><ul><li>We announce the film title and an overview of why we have high hopes.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Thursday:&nbsp;</strong>Watch day 👀</p><p>Watch the film from wherever you are.</p><p>ICONS-ONLY series: Watch on whatever streaming service you like, or commit and buy a DVD</p><p>IRL RELEASES: Book a ticket at your local cinema, who knows, another club member may turn up too.</p><br><p><strong>Thursday:&nbsp;</strong>Chat on&nbsp;<a href="https://www.tiktok.com/@mirrormirror.cinemaclub" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">TikTok</a>&nbsp;💬</p><p>Jump into the comment section to see what other club members thought and share your own opinion.</p><p>We will share prompt questions about the film, and react to them ourselves.</p><br><p><strong>Friday:</strong>&nbsp;Podcast deep dive 🎧</p><p>Tune into our podcast to hear us discuss the film.</p><br><p><strong>Following week:</strong>&nbsp;<a href="https://mirrormirrorcinemaclub.substack.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Substack</a>&nbsp;🤗</p><p>For each film, we will share a wrap-up post. It will collate all the content we have created around the film, alongside some of your reactions on TikTok.
