Miscellaneous Conflicts

This episode puts an emphasis on our two most infamous yappers, Raquel and Violet! Some may know this show as, "Violet and the Others" or "Raquel and Friends." On this episode we asked our yappers about conflict resolution.

If we as a society want to move forward amicably, then it is imperative to know how our future generation handles a variety of issues. I also thought that it would be interesting to compare and contrast how adults and children handle problems, and to see if any negotiating strategies have changed over the years.

One layer of conflict resolution that we talked about was tone. Tone is very important when trying to resolve a problem because if an aggresive tone is taken, the person being spoken to is imediately going to get defensive and may be less willing to hear you out.

I also did my absolute best to try to try to get these kids to try to take any level of accountability. When in a conflict it is so hard for us to realize that it is us that likely have some blame as to how we got into this situation in the first place. It is far harder for us to see the wrong in ourselves, now you can imagine how much harder it can be dealing with people under the age of thirteen.

It is important to see how the future generation will react to intense emotions for others and themselves. We all can work wonders if we all aim to respond and not react. That goes for anybody of any age.

How do you deal with confrontation?

You want your children to be able to stand up for themselves but you also want them to realize when it's important to walk away.

The most important aspect conflict resolution is putting yourself in the other person's shoes. How would you feel if you were them? How would you react if you were them? Is how they feel justified?

We also touched on Zodiac signs and Middle School Goal.

We have the wonderful Tinara as a stupendous addition to this show. She is by far one of my favorite students and in listening to this episode, you'll know why.

Thanks again to anyone who has liked, shared or listened to even a second of the Miscellaneous Yappers.

The season finale will be out soon.

How do deal with confrontation Do you put yourself in their shoesHow can people put up with itBest ways to deal with confrontationTinaraZodiac signsMiddle school goals
