   Bye For Now

In today’s episode, I share an unscripted, from-the-heart reflection on obedience, surrender, and trusting God when His instruction challenges understanding, expectations, and security. This episode includes: A personal reflection on alignment and obedience Processing fear, grief, and survival responses that surfaced in surrender Wrestling honestly with God around provision, protection, and trust The decision to suspend the Misfits on Mission podcast, effective immediately Misfits on Mission is being suspended following a season of prayer and obedience. At this time, I do not have clarity on whether this is a pause or a permanent closing. Substack I will continue writing and sharing reflections there as a quieter space to process and share from the heart. Pressure Is Not Your Portion | God’s Way vs the World’s Way

January comes with a unique kind of pressure—the pressure to fix yourself, perform better, hustle harder, and prove that this year will be different. But what if that pressure isn’t from God at all? In this episode of the Misfits on Mission Podcast, we’re unpacking the difference between the world’s way and God’s way—especially when it comes to productivity, rest, discipline, and transformation. If you’ve ever felt anxious when you slow down… Guilty when you rest… Or afraid that everything will fall apart if you stop producing…This conversation is for you. In this episode, we talk about: The hidden pressure of January and New Year expectations. Why hustle and performance are often rooted in fear, not faith. How safety—not pressure—is the soil for real transformation. The difference between structure as a tool vs structure as a savior. Moving from striving and burnout into peace, rest, and trust. What Scripture actually says about rest, alignment, and obedience. A personal story of survival, systems, and relearning safety in God. Guided reflection questions and a prayer to realign with God’s pace. This episode is an invitation to stop proving, stop performing, and start abiding. Because pressure is not your portion—peace is. ✨ Go Deeper — Free Reflections & Journaling Episode Journaling Guides (Free on Substack) For select podcast episodes, I create printable journaling prompts to help you process, pray, and integrate what you’re hearing. Mend Your Midlife Metabolism | Faith, Insulin Resistance, and Reclaiming Your Body After 40 with Pharmacist Health Coach Carrie Schrader

What if your stubborn weight gain, exhaustion, and hormone chaos aren’t personal failures—but signs your metabolism is asking for support? In this powerful episode of Misfits on Mission, Alejandra sits down with Carrie Schrader, Pharmacist Health Coach and founder of Mend Your Midlife Metabolism, for an honest, hope-filled conversation about midlife health, insulin resistance, and walking worthy of the calling God has placed on your life. Carrie shares her personal journey through breast cancer, profound loss, and metabolic healing—and how those experiences ignited her mission to help midlife women stop fighting their bodies and start working with them. Together, we unpack why “doing all the right things” often stops working after 40, how blood sugar and insulin resistance quietly drive weight-loss resistance, fatigue, and chronic disease, and why healing in midlife requires both wisdom and obedience. This episode is especially for the woman who: Feels like her body changed overnight in midlife Is tired of extreme diets, over-exercising, and white-knuckling health Suspects there’s more going on beneath stubborn weight and low energy Desires healing that honors both science and faith Carrie brings clarity, compassion, and practical insight—rooted in her background as a pharmacist and her deep trust in God’s timing—to remind us that restoration is possible, and that our bodies were designed to heal. Key themes we cover: Why insulin resistance is a hidden driver of midlife weight gain and fatigue How grief, stress, and trauma impact metabolism and hormones Releasing shame around health struggles and reclaiming confidence Walking worthy of your calling—body, soul, and spirit Why midlife can be a beginning, not a breakdown This is not about fixing yourself. It’s about understanding your body, honoring your season, and stepping into healing with wisdom and grace. 🔗 Connect with Carrie Schrader ✨ Midlife Metabolism Jumpstart: ( https://www.carrieswellnessrx.com/jumpstart) 👉 https://www.carrieswellnessrx.com/jumpstart ( https://www.carrieswellnessrx.com/jumpstart) ✨ Website & Coaching: (https://www.carrieswellnessrx.com) 👉 https://www.carrieswellnessrx.com (https://www.carrieswellnessrx.com) 📩 Email: carrie@carrieswellnessrx.com 🎧 About Our Guest Carrie Schrader is the founder of Mend Your Midlife Metabolism, a pharmacist, health coach, and faith-driven midlife mom who helps women overcome weight-loss resistance, balance hormones, and restore energy—without extreme diets or living at the gym.
