September is National Cold Case Month
September Was Only the Beginning
September was not just a month on the calendar. It was a reminder.
A reminder that behind every unresolved case is a person whose life mattered. A family that is still waiting. A community that deserves answers.
Karen gives an overview of what September meant for Arizona—and, more importantly, what happens next.
This year, Arizonans for Effective Public Safety received a proclamation from the Governor’s Office recognizing September 20–26 as Unresolved Cases Awareness Week in Arizona.
That recognition matters. But a proclamation cannot be where the work ends.
The work continues.
Moving forward, we will continue raising awareness of Arizona’s unresolved cases, standing beside families who have spent years searching for answers, and advocating for renewed attention to investigations that remain unresolved.
Families should not have to carry the weight of an unanswered case alone.
Every name matters.
Every family matters.
Every unresolved case matters.
September brought these cases into the conversation. Now Arizona must keep the conversation going—and keep working toward answers.
We remember. We advocate. We keep going.
