Mission 66 brings the Bible to life each day as our hosts take you on a journey from Genesis to Revelation. You’ll understand God’s Word in a fresh way and grow in your intimacy with the Lord. In this chapter-by-chapter audio commentary from TWR, teacher John Mathews and co-host Esther Sisulu open the Scriptures in a personal and applicable way. They adapt the teaching of Brazilian Bible teacher Luiz Sayão, which he originally delivered in Portuguese. Mission 66 is heard in several languages through the hosting of TWR international teaching teams. Proverbs 13 through15 teaches the power of words, gentleness, and correct counsel. It warns that harsh replies kindle wrath while gentle answers turn away anger. The passage encourages listening to wise friends who warn against folly and practicing restraint in speech. By choosing careful language, we honour God and protect our hearts and others’ well being. These verses also show that speaking truthfully fosters community trust, whereas deceit weakens bonds. The text illustrates how everyday choices—how we speak, whom we counsel—have lasting effects on personal growth and collective harmony.

Proverbs 10-12: Free Advice
Proverbs 10 through 12 focuses on responsible speech and personal conduct. It warns that lying, slander, and uncontrolled tongues bring harm to oneself and others. The verses teach the value of honesty, restraint, and the power of a well chosen word. By keeping our mouths closed when we would hurt or deceive, we preserve relationships and uphold integrity. Moreover, the passage links disciplined speech with long term wisdom: those who hold their tongue gain respect; fools let gossip ruin them. These teachings apply daily—to school, friendships, and future jobs—showing that how we speak reflects our heart’s alignment with God.

Proverbs 8-9: An Offer You Cannot Refuse
In Proverbs 8 to 9, Wisdom herself speaks from a city gate, inviting all people to her house. She describes wisdom as the first creation, more precious than silver or gold. The passage teaches that listening to her call leads to life and prosperity; ignoring it invites folly. John and Esther highlight this invitation as irresistible: choosing wisdom is unavoidable and brings protection against deception and disaster. By following Wisdom’s guidance—respecting knowledge, fearing God, and living prudently—readers learn how to make sound decisions and safeguard their lives from foolishness.
