<p>In this episode of Mission SONlight CHATT, Richard Hickam shares how music, community, and a renewed commitment to Christ shaped his life and ministry in this special Mission SONlight Chatt from the 2025 General Conference Session in St. Louis, Missouri.</p><p>Richard serves as the corporate director of music and the arts in mission and ministry for AdventHealth. He talks about growing up between two different faith backgrounds, losing his mother as a teenager, stepping away from church, and finding his way back to Christ through Scripture and music.</p><p>The conversation also covers Richard's work with AdventHealth, the healing role of music and visual art, and the AdventHealth Orchestra. Created during the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, the orchestra brings healthcare workers together to honor those who died, support resilience, and share Christ's healing ministry through music.
