About Mohamed Awad Al-Harbawi

With a voice that resonates with clarity and precision, Sheikh Dr. Mohamed Awad Zayed Al-Harbawi stands as a distinguished Egyptian reciter of the Quran. His deep understanding of the Quran is underscored by his PhD in Quranic Studies, a foundation upon which he built a career dedicated to its dissemination and instruction. For years, he imparted his knowledge at the Department of Quranic Studies within the College of Education at King Saud University, shaping the understanding of future generations. Beyond academia, Sheikh Al-Harbawi holds several esteemed licenses in both the ten minor and major readings of the Quran, a testament to his mastery of its intricate variations. His experience extends to the venerable halls of Al-Azhar, where he served as a teacher, and to public schools within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Currently, he leads the teaching staff at Al Rajhi University’s Electronic Academy, embracing modern tools to spread the light of the Quran. His commitment to teaching recitation continues through his contract with the College of Education in Riyadh. Notably, his dedication to preserving and sharing the Holy Book is further evidenced by his two complete recordings of the Quran, one according to Hafs A’n Assim and another according to Doori.
