Since Caleb said the intruder might still be inside, officers first needed to clear the house before anyone could even begin looking closely at what happened. Sergeant Rissmiller was among the officers who entered. As they moved through the home, they found the two girls still in their bedrooms and eventually reached the primary bedroom on the northeast side of the house.
