Welcome to Bad for Business — the podcast that feels more like a behind-the-scenes business coaching session and stories I'd share over a drink with you in Scotland than a boring marketing podcast with the same regurgitated advice. Just real ass conversations and advice about business that'll make you laugh, think, and want to send to your biz bestie.
Hosted by Hayley, business consultant and coach with a decade of entrepreneurship under her belt, and toddler mom navigating life as a midwestern-girlie now living in Scotland. This show will help you rethink what's actually bad for business and remind you that building a business and life by your own rules is the whole damn point.
Before You Plan 2026, Ask Yourself These Questions: An End-of-Year Business Check-In
A values-based business check-in to see what's working, what's not, and what to leave behind in 2025.
Think of this episode like a 2025 business reflection and some questions I'd ask if we were auditing your business together to make sure your business is fully supporting you going into 2025. Because your business is here to do more than just make money and support your clients, it needs to actually support YOU and the life you want to live too.
What I Talk About in This Episode:
The questions you need to ask yourself before 2026
How to make sure you're driving your business where you want it to go
The free 2026 Business Roadmap Template
Using these questions to help you become less reactive in business and more intentional
Making sure your business is checking all of your boxes and if it isn't, seeing what areas need support.

Scotland Lore Part 2: Why I moved to Scotland from the US
" I flew for the very first time in my life with my dog Howard, and two suitcases to Scotland all by myself."
Yes, you read that right! I really did fly for the first time EVER in my life, with my dog, to Scotland, all by myself.
I really did uproot my entire life to move from Nashville, TN to Edinburgh, Scotland.
If you're wondering "Hayley, Why and how did you do that?"
You'll love these Scotland Lore episodes.
What You Can Expect:
In this episode, I share the real behind the scenes of the process I went through to make this happen. And it wasn't always smooth sailing.
There were so many times and instances I asked myself "why the f*ck am I doing this? It would be so much easier, safer, less stress and hassle to not even try."
And honestly, that's how it feels in business sometimes too.
Why bother pivoting our business model even though it's draining our energy?
Is it really worth the effort to go after something new and leave our comfort zone?
That is the theme of this episode and shows you that the process of going after something is often messy. It's not a curated highlight reel like we're so used to seeing on social media.
I transparently share how I was able to actually pull of this big move, the ups and downs, moments I thought it wasn't going to happen, and some key takeaways that you can apply to your business.
Whether you are thinking about a big move yourself or just going after some big goals in your business, you'll walk away from this episode feeling inspired.
