Alain De Botton ist einer der Philosophen, die einem gerne mal die rosa Brille vom Gesicht schlagen oder das Kissen unterm Kopf wegziehen, und trotzdem fühlt man sich danach irgendwie besser. In einem Interview mit Elizabeth Day spricht er dementsprechend sehr unbequeme Wahrheiten aus: über unsere Fragilität, über das Sterben und über eine Ohnmacht, die wir uns selbst kaum eingestehen können.
