Sermons from Mossvale Community Church, a non-denominational, family church in the north end of Paisley, Renfrewshire, in Scotland. We come from all walks of life, and are united in our passion to see lives and our world transformed by the love and power of God.
Rahab’s story reminds us that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. No matter your past, your failures, or the shame you carry, God is calling you to come to Him. You don’t have to fix yourself before coming to Jesus; you come to Him because you need a Saviour. Through His death and resurrection, Jesus offers forgiveness, salvation, and a new beginning. Rahab believed God’s promises and acted in faith, and today that same invitation is open to you. Will you continue to let your past define you, or will you surrender your life to Christ and allow Him to make you new? You are not too broken, too far gone, or too sinful for His grace. Come to Jesus today, put your faith in Him, and discover the life and purpose He has for you. Your past is not your final chapter, because in Christ, you can be made new, and grace has the final word.

Citizens of Heaven and Ambassadors on Earth
In Philippians 3:20, Paul reminds us that our citizenship is in heaven and our identity is found in Christ. As citizens of heaven and ambassadors on earth, we are called to carry God’s presence, power, and purpose into everyday life. Mission is not only overseas or through organisations - it begins with knowing who we are in Jesus and loving and serving others where God has placed us. Through kindness, forgiveness, generosity, compassion, and sharing hope, we reflect God’s Kingdom in our homes, workplaces, and communities. We belong to a worldwide family of believers, united in Christ and called to care for one another across every nation and culture. Because Jesus came to bring us home to God, we are sent into the world to share His love and shine His light. As we celebrate Missions Sunday, let us remember that our citizenship is in heaven, our King is Jesus, and our mission is here: to love the world God loves, serve those Christ came to save, and live so others glimpse God’s Kingdom as we await our Saviour’s return.

Joshua part 6
In our final session at this season of Mossvale Men's Meeting, Joshua 6 tells the powerful story of the fall of Jericho, reminding us that victory comes not through human strength but through the power of God and faith-filled obedience. Although Jericho’s walls seemed impossible to overcome, God promised Joshua the victory, and the Israelites trusted His instructions by marching around the city for seven days until the walls collapsed. The story reveals God’s justice and mercy: while Jericho faced judgement, Rahab and her family were saved because she believed in the God of Israel and sought His protection. Her rescue reminds us that God’s grace is available to all who put their trust in Him, regardless of their past. Hebrews 11 highlights that the walls fell by faith, showing us that genuine faith means continuing to trust and obey God even when His instructions seem difficult or beyond our understanding. Ultimately, the story points us to Jesus Christ, who offers forgiveness, mercy, and salvation to all who turn to Him. Joshua 6 is therefore more than a story of falling walls; it is a reminder that God is powerful, faithful to His promises, and able to bring new beginnings, deliverance, and hope to those who trust in Him.
