She holds a PhD in AI from the University of Oxford and has spent over ten years in personalized medicine, translating computational models into diverse clinical and biological application areas, including clinical care and drug discovery. Julie Miwa on the BIZ with Dr. Kambiz!
Dr. Julie Miwa, Ph.D. is one of the scientific founders of Ophidion, Inc., an early-stage private CNS biopharmaceutical company. Ophidion leverages a proprietary, non-invasive carrier technology that enables direct delivery of CNS therapeutics across the blood-brain barrier into the brain for the treatment of serious, progressive neurodegenerative diseases. She is Associate Professor at Lehigh University researching mechanisms of learning and plasticity through lynx modulators of nicotinic receptors. She is also founder of the Neurosalon Project, a brain health and wellness project at the intersection of the arts and sciences.
She trained at the The Rockefeller University, Yale University and University of California at Berkeley.

Aileen Mastouri on the BIZ with Dr. Kambiz!
Aileen Mastouri, PhD, is CEO and co-founder of RevivBio, a Cambridge, MA techbio company spun out of David Weitz's lab at Harvard, where droplet microfluidics was pioneered. She has 15+ years of R&D and commercialization experience in venture-backed biotech, across protein engineering, microfluidics, and machine learning. Today's AI protein models mostly design proteins that resemble ones they've already seen. To get past that, AI needs large amounts of diverse data labeled by what proteins actually do, and that data doesn't exist yet. RevivBio is building microfluidic platforms that run billions of single-cell and single-variant experiments to generate it. The company is starting with proteins that are hard to engineer and already runs programs with three Fortune 500 companies.

Sadhak Sengupta on the BIZ with Dr. Kambiz!
Sadhak Sengupta, PhD is an immunologist and translational medicine leader with 15+ years advancing engineered T-cell therapies, including CAR-T, from discovery through IND-enabling development and into the clinic. He has led translational research across multiple CAR-T programs, driving two IND filings, clinical biomarker strategies, and multiomics mechanism-of-action work. At Luye Lifesciences he delivered five CAR-T platforms in ten months; earlier he was a Principal Investigator at Roger Williams Medical Center's Brain Tumor Laboratory and Assistant Professor at Brown University's Alpert Medical School. In 2025 he founded RCIXLabs, building a machine-learning "digital twin" platform for CAR-T trial and manufacturing simulation. He holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of Calcutta.

Mat Legut on the BIZ with Dr. Kambiz!
Dr. Legut is co-founder and CEO of OverT Bio. An immunologist with over a decade of experience in basic and translational oncology, his work spans cell therapy, oncolytic viruses, antigen discovery and nanomedicine. With Dr. Sanjana, he developed the genome-scale overexpression and cell programming platform in immune cells that powers OverT's immunotherapies. Prior to OverT, he helped develop clinical programs for gamma delta T cells, CAR-T cells and TILs, and served as a Hope Fellow at the New York Genome Center and NYU, leading an immunogenomics team. He earned his PhD in Andrew Sewell's lab at Cardiff University, and has authored more than thirty publications and nine patent applications.

Michael Bunsick (mb9677@princeton.edu (mailto:mb9677@princeton.edu)) is a postdoctoral fellow at Princeton University in the lab of Bonnie Bassler. His work focuses on how bacterial viruses exploit a chemical communication process called quorum sensing to optimize their infectious lifecycle. Michael earned both his B.Sc (http://b.sc/). and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto. Michael is also working on commercializing new DNA assembly and cloning technology he developed during his postdoc.
VectorWeave is commercializing a proprietary DNA assembly and cloning technology that removes this bottleneck. The technology supports the assembly of large, complex plasmids, as well as efficient multi-site plasmid mutagenesis. VectorWeave is exploring both a plasmid assembly service business and partnership opportunities with DNA synthesis providers to expand the size, complexity, and reliability of their product offerings.

Jack holds a BSc from Arizona State University, graduate degrees in public health from Johns Hopkins, and a JD from the JFK School of Law. He headed up the Northern Ireland Negotiation Project during post-graduate research at Trinity College, Dublin. He is a Wharton School Fellow at UPenn.
Jack was a Senior Advisor to the President’s office at Johns Hopkins University where he helped raise in excess of $6.0 Billion over 5 years. He was also engaged by the Clinton Health Access Initiative.
