Movie Mandates: ONE OF OUR DINOSAURS IS MISSING (Dinosaurs!)

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  Dinosaurs month concludes with Keleigh's mandated movie: ONE OF OUR DINOSAURS IS MISSING!  A very not racist Disney movie from the 1975 fearing a large cast of Chinese characters played by white guys!  Except for that one dude way in the background.  See him?  No, not that one.  That's a white guy in yellowface too.  A bit to the left.  Nope that's also a white guy.  Further to the left.  Yeah, there he is! Now, before you start bringing out the pitchforks, remember, China wasn't discovered until 1978 and Disney felt really bad when they learned that they could have been using Chinese actors this whole time.  If only they'd known of their existence! 0:00 - Trivial Trivia 4:23 - One Of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing review 59:31 - Next episode's mandated movie We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie.  If you'd like to watch it, click here to find where it's streaming or available to rent. If you'd like to watch the video version of Movie Mandates, you can do so on YouTube.  Alternatively, you can listen to and audio-only version on iTunes.  New episodes of Movie Mandates drop on the first and third Wednesday of every month! Movie Mandates: THE VALLEY OF GWANGI (Dinosaurs!)

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  It's Dinosaurs month on Movie Mandates so I mandated we watch THE VALLEY OF GWANGI, a film about cowboys who find a purple dinosaur and capture it so they can donate it to science and benefit humanity with all that can be learned! Nah, just kidding.  They cage it and sell tickets to people eager to get a look because apparently none of these bozos have seen King Kong. 0:00 - Trivial Trivia 17:46 - The Valley Of Gwangi review 1:01:16 - Next episode's mandated movie We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie.  If you'd like to watch it, click here to find where it's streaming or available to rent. Movie Mandates: RUST (The Streisand Effect)

Welcome to Movie Mandates, a review show in which sibling cinephiles Andrew and Keleigh force each other to watch movies according to a monthly theme!  We're closing out The Streisand Effect with a movie that did not want people paying attention to it for the reason people were paying attention to it.  Due to workplace safety issues, cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot and killed with a prop gun wielded by actor Alec Baldwin during the production.  Understandably, that tragedy is the only thing many people know about the film and the only thing that many people talk about regarding the film. And that includes us.  But other than that, Mr. Lincoln, how was the play? 0:00 - Trivial Trivia 9:58 - Rust review 59:14 - Next episode's mandated movie We'll be back in two weeks with another mandated movie.  If you'd like to watch it, click here to find where it's streaming or available to rent.
