Die Transformation der Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft hin zu einer neuen, nachhaltigen Struktur und einem lebenswerten Klima, das positive Effekte auf die Gesundheit und Lebensqualität der Menschen in unserem Bundesland haben wird, ist eine der größten Herausforderungen unserer Zeit. Eva-Maria Kröger nimmt diese Herausforderung als Oberbürgermeisterin der Hansestadt Rostock an. In einem Gespräch über die lokale Transformation in der Region "Greater Rostock" hat sie ihre Vision und ihr Engagement deutlich gemacht. Mit großer Leidenschaft setzt sich Frau Kröger für die Umsetzung dieser Transformation ein, anstatt nur darüber zu sprechen. Ob in den Bereichen Verwaltung, öffentlicher Nahverkehr, Wirtschaft, Stadtquartiere oder Hafen – Frau Kröger ist stets aktiv dabei. Rostock macht bereits Fortschritte, wie zum Beispiel mit den umgesetzten Maßnahmen im Bereich Fernwärme. Auch die zukünftige Entwicklung des Hafens spielt eine wichtige Rolle. Die Grundlage dafür: Viel grüne Energie, die in und um Rostock erzeugt wird. Obwohl die Transformation nicht einfach und kostspielig ist, ist sie machbar und wird die Hansestadt Rostock zu einem noch lebenswerteren Ort machen.
