Everyone Seems to Be Ahead of You
Getting older can be strange when you thought you’d be somewhere else by now. You watch people you grew up with get married, move away, get the job, buy the house, figure things out. You’re happy for them. You mean it. But sometimes there’s still that uncomfortable feeling afterwards, when you’re left wondering what happened to the life you thought you’d have.
Maybe the hardest part is realising that time kept moving while you were still trying to figure yourself out. Some things didn’t happen. Some plans quietly disappeared. Some versions of you never arrived. And eventually, you have to sit with the fact that the life you kept waiting to start has been happening the entire time.

The Things We Do When Nobody Is Watching
There are parts of us that never make it into the stories we tell about ourselves. The strange habits, private thoughts, small jealousies, imaginary conversations, quiet regrets, and tiny decisions that happen when there’s nobody around to witness them.
Maybe becoming isn’t one dramatic transformation. Maybe it’s what happens in those unnoticed moments, when nobody is watching, nobody is keeping score, and the only person who knows what choice was made is the person who made it.
