<p>This week we are continuing the saga of Pharaoh’s foolish showdown with God.</p><p><br></p><p>The subtitle may be, "Cattle, and Boils, and Hail—Oh my!”</p><p><br></p><p>The big idea to consider as you prepare for Sunday—</p><p><br></p><p>What are the “gods” of this world that seek to destroy our faith, especially of young believers—our kids, grandkids, and students? And how does the Gospel defeat these false gods? How can we equip the next generation to live free of fear and free of the lies they are being inundated with?</p><p><br></p><p>Be strong! Ten Plagues

<p>In honor of our own nation’s 250th anniversary celebration this weekend, think of those well–known events of the Revolutionary War, which are so essential in our nation's “origin story”—the Boston Tea Party, Bunker (Breed’s) Hill, Lexington, Concorde, Valley Forge, Crossing the Delaware, Trenton, Cowpens, Saratoga, Yorktown...</p><p><br></p><p>To our Jewish friends, Exodus 7–15 invite the same patriotism, in the origin story of their nation, birthed from Egypt by Ten Plagues and the Crossing of the Red Sea.</p><p><br></p><p>This passage will take several weeks to work through—part 1 this Sunday!</p><p><br></p><p>Sneak peak—something to think about: Where do you see humor in these chapters?
